The Jersey Shore Jam Fest was filled with standout performances as players did their best to drive their teams to the championship. Here are the standouts from day 2 of the Hoop Group Jersey Shore Jam Fest.
Khaafiq Myers Khaafiq Myers 5'10" | PG Neumann-Goretti | 2024 State PA , 5’11 PG Neumann-Goretti 2024
Myers put on a show for the NJ Scholars 16U team as he helped them take home the 17U Shore title. The 5’11 guard was a blur in the open floor as defenders struggled to keep him in front. Myers attacked the basket strong and finished in a variety of ways around the basket. He slid his feet on the defensive end and was able to create turnovers due to his quick hands. Myers is a quick, two-way guard who should see his stock rise this summer with more performances like that.
Brandon Benjamin Brandon Benjamin 6'7" | PF St. Thomas More | 2025 State New E , 6’7 PF Bergen Catholic 2024
Benjmain had a standout performance for Team Rio University in the 16U championship game against NJ Scholars 15U. The 6’7 forward played with confidence early as he went to the basket strong and finished with a couple of big-time dunks. Benjamin showed off a nice touch around the rim and was able to draw contact to get to the line. He ripped down rebounds on both ends of the floor and used his length to alter shots around the basket. Benjmain will be a name to watch in the Garden State if he continues to play like he did on Sunday.
Connor Igoe, 6’6 SG Poly Prep 2025
Igoe had a strong Sunday for New Heights HGSL as he made multiple plays on the offensive end. The 6’6 guard has a nice release on his jumper and used his size to shoot over smaller defenders. Igoe did more than just shoot as he also attacked the basket strong and was able to get to the line. He has a nice handle and moved well without the ball in his hands. Igoe is a skilled wing who will only get better as the summer goes on.
Tarique Foster, 6’8 SF 2023
Foster had a strong showing for the Wiz Kids as he showed the ability to affect the game in a variety of ways. The 6’8 forward was able to get to the rim and finished strong around the basket. Foster was unafraid of drawing contact and shot the ball with confidence. He used his length to alter shots around the basket and ripped down rebounds on both ends of the floor. Foster is a lanky forward prospect who should see his stock rise with more performances like that.
Keith McKnight Keith McKnight 6'5" | SG Hudson Catholic | 2025 State #200 Nation NJ , 6’2 SG Teaneck 2025
McKnight made plays for the NJ Legacy on Sunday as he was able to get their offense going in the second half. The 6’2 guard used his handle effectively as he was able to create open shots for himself off the bounce. McKnight has a nice release on his jumper and was unafraid to let it fly from deep. He made solid decisions with the ball in his hands and finished nicely around the basket.
