A look at the top Wisconsin prospects to watch in the 17U Division at Spiece Run N' Slam...

[player_tooltip player_id="1138463" first="Demarion" last="Burch"] - 2023 - SG - Team Haliburton

One of the fastest rising prospects in Wisconsin’s 2023 class, Burch is coming off a monster junior season at Milwaukee Hamilton, in which he was a threat to score 30 points on any given night. An uptempo, strong, athletic, and explosive guard, Burch can fly in the open floor and do some special things at the rim.

[player_tooltip player_id="988698" first="Josiah" last="Butler"] - 2022 - SG - Wisconsin Playground Club

Butler is drawing Division 1 schools to him as an unsigned senior. The Fox Valley Lutheran standout recently picked up an offer from Air Force. A skilled scorer with an outstanding mid-range game, Butler knows how to get to his spots and rise and fire in the 12-18 foot area.

[player_tooltip player_id="1115915" first="Tyran" last="Cook"] - 2023 - SG - Team Haliburton

Cook has blown up over the last year and is now a top 10 prospect in Wisconsin's 2023 class. A strong, athletic guard who's just continued to improve as a jump shooter, Cook has a lot of tools at his disposal as a scorer.

[player_tooltip player_id="1409364" first="Peter" last="Lattos"] - 2023 - SF - Team FVV

A prospect that jumped on the scene during the state tournament, Lattos has continued his upward trajectory this spring. He may not be a household name yet in Wisconsin, but the 6-foot-7 wing is likely a top 50 prospect...if not higher. A sweet shooter swingman who can score off the bounce and create matchup problems around the rim, Lattos might be the best kept secret in this class.

[player_tooltip player_id="981149" first="Braden" last="McGlothlin"] - 2023 - G - MTXE Premier

A skilled, crafty guard with a shooter's mentality, McGlothlin is quite slithery when the ball is in his hands. He handles the point duties and instincts often tell him to get teammates involved first, but he's so dangerous as a shooter as defenders never know when he may pull the trigger. Might not blow you away with size or athleticism, but McGlothlin has a lot of tricks up his sleeves that allow him to toast defenders.

[player_tooltip player_id="981027" first="Bennett" last="McCormick"] - 2023 - SG - MTXE Premier

A bouncy, athletic wing, McCormick can really run the floor and make teams pay for not getting back on defense. Also a standout football player, McCormick has really good feet in traffic, able to change directions and maneuver around defenders. Also a standout defender, McCormick has the tools to be a lockdown player on the other end of the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id="953956" first="Luther" last="Smith"] - 2023 - SG - MTXE Premier

One of the top shooters in Wisconsin, Smith can absolutely fill it up. The 5-foot-11 sniper is a high volume scorer that generally has the green light whenever he wants it. Smith owns an offer from Louisiana-Monroe with a number of other mid-major programs keeping tabs on him this spring.

[player_tooltip player_id="951467" first="Prentice" last="Young"] - 2023 - G - Wisconsin Playground Club

After tearing his ACL at this event last year, Young is returning to form heading into his senior year. One of the best two-way players in the state, Young has a knack for turning defense into offense. The 6-foot-4 guard can play anywhere on the perimeter and has a point guard's feel for the game. Young is shooting the ball as well, if not better, than he has during his career as well.
