He showcased his ability to score from all over the floor. He was able to attack the hoop off the dribble as well as create for himself. He shot 39.7% from three on a healthy volume of nearly 10 three-pointers a game.

The 6’1″ shooting guard is making a strong case for Mr. Basketball by pouring in 27.9 points per game on 40.6% three-point shooting. He’s scored 30+ points in nine games to go along with two 40+ point games. Luther has a confident three-point shot that extends well beyond the high school three-point line. He’s not afraid to pull up in transition and can help change momentum in an instant. He’s great in catch and shoot situations, either having a quick trigger or creating separation by utilizing ball fakes or fancy footwork. Off ball, he’s able to read defenses well to navigate screens. He’ll back cut if he notices his defender is overplaying or pop out if the defender is sagging. Although disappearing from today’s game, Luther stills incorporates a smooth looking mid-range jumper into his game. Without a doubt, Luther is one of the best scorers in the state of Wisconsin. Division one programs should look to offer before it’s too late.

Not sure there’s been a more electric scorer than Luther at the Division 1 level this season. No matter who he plays he just continues to put up numbers. On Saturday it was a 36 point outing to help lead his team to a 16 point win over a very good Milwaukee Hamilton team. He’s extremely quick and is always moving around whether on or off the ball. Does a great job of running off screens and losing his man off the ball, and can quickly catch, get squared up, and fire off a shot before his man can catch up. Very quick player off the dribble who does a nice job of getting into the lane while keeping his eyes scanning the floor for open teammates. Despite scoring 30 ppg he’s still an unselfish player who knows when to shoot but also when to set up one of his teammates with an even better shot.
