Commitments
The 6’2″ senior point guard out of Waukesha South committed to Virginia Military Institute (VMI) earlier this week. Tyran averaged 24.6 PPG, 10.4 RPG, 3.1 APG, and 1 SPG on 51.4% shooting from the field and 45.9% from three. He’s a high energy player that brings an incredible work ethic to the table. Similar to Ja Morant is the sense of his quickness, speed, and above the rim finishing abilities. Truly an underrated prospect.
Out of West Allis Hale, Robert Peters Robert Peters 6’8″ | PF West Allis Hale | 2023 State WI will join Tyran Cook Tyran Cook 6’1″ | SG Waukesha South | 2023 State WI at Virginia Military Institute (VMI). The skilled big man averaged 21.9 PPG, 8.7 RPG, and 1.8 APG. Robert is an interior force with a soft touch around the rim. He’s active on the offensive glass and will look to utilize his advanced ball handling capabilities for his size at the next level. Has potential to stretch the floor as well.

Luther Smith Luther Smith 6’1″ | SG Sussex Hamilton | 2023 State WI Jr. is one of the best scorers from Wisconsin’s 2023 class, if not the best. He recently announced that this fall he will be taking his talents to South Beach. No just kidding. Not yet. Luther Smith Luther Smith 6’1″ | SG Sussex Hamilton | 2023 State WI Jr. committed to Southern Indiana University. The electric scorer averaged 27.8 PPG this year. He showcased his ability to score from all over the floor. He was able to attack the hoop off the dribble as well as create for himself. He shot 39.7% from three on a healthy volume of nearly 10 three-pointers a game.

Jack Riley Jack Riley 6’0″ | SF Catholic Memorial | 2023 State WI will rep the blue and gold for the Marquette Golden Eagles next year. He accepted a preferred walk on opportunity from Shaka Smart and Co. He averaged 7.7 PPG and 7 RPG on an effective 64.7% shooting from the field. At 6’8″, he’ll be a great practice player and replace legendary Marquette walk on Michael Kennedy from Homestead High School.
After leading Neenah back to the state tournament and a recent coaching change at UW-Green Bay, Cal decided to reopen his commitment and explore all options. The senior averaged 18.4 PPG, 5.7 RPG, and 4.7 APG this past season. He holds offers from SIU-Edwardsville, Toledo, and Wofford. His brother Max plays at Wisconsin.

Moving onto the 2024 class, we have our first commitment. Nick Janowski Nick Janowski 6’3″ | SG Pewaukee | 2024 State #126 Nation WI opted to give a verbal to the Nebraska Cornhuskers over the likes of Wisconsin, Marquette, USC, Iowa, and Iowa State among others. He’s the #2 player in Wisconsin’s class and ranked 79th nationally by 247sports. It’ll be interesting to see if Nick stays with Nebraska after more offers come in this summer and next fall.
