The 6’2″ senior point guard out of Waukesha South committed to Virginia Military Institute (VMI) earlier this week. Tyran averaged 24.6 PPG, 10.4 RPG, 3.1 APG, and 1 SPG on 51.4% shooting from the field and 45.9% from three. He’s a high energy player that brings an incredible work ethic to the table. Similar to Ja Morant is the sense of his quickness, speed, and above the rim finishing abilities. Truly an underrated prospect.

. This kid brings the energy and plays with a ton of heart every time he steps on the court. He’s electric. He’s exciting. He’s worth that division one scholarship. Tyran is averaging 23.9 points, 10.4 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per game on intriguing shooting splits. 44.1% from three and 82.4% from the free-throw line. He had a massive 45 point, 20 rebound performance earlier this year. He’s scored double digits every game and has posted six double doubles. He’s an absolute menace in the open court and in transition. Tyran may only be 6’2″, but he is an incredible athlete that can finish above the rim. He’s caught a few lobs and thrown down some tenacious dunks. He’s got a good handle and blows by defenders with his quickness and speed. Overall, he’s a solid finisher around the rim. Given his explosiveness and ability to attack, defenders may drop in coverage to protect the paint, but Tyran makes them pay by hitting a high percentage of his mid-range and three-point jumpers. Tyran can be an energy guy at the next level.

was just on another level Saturday against West Allis Hale. He’s not only one of the most productive players in the state, but also one of the most entertaining. Cook showed just why as he pulled up at the free throw line, got a defender in the air, stepped through while throwing the ball off the backboard, and then elevating to catch and dunk it. That was complimented by a block on the other end that he got a hand on well above the rim, showcasing his impressive explosiveness. Tyran found a ton of success getting into his pull-up jumper as his blow by speed often caused defenders to play off of him, giving him the space to stop and pop. Thought he made some accurate passes out of difficult angles to set his teammates up for wide open shots out of pick & pops. With the game tied Tyran knocked down two free throws with 4 seconds left to give his team a win.
