2025 Rankings: Top Combo Guards/Shooting Guards

<p>The Freshman class is a good one and we’ve already got 65 ranked players in the class before their 15u AAU seasons started. There are several kids with modest statistics but big time potential so it’s been a tough class to figure out so far. These are the top Shooting Guards and Combo Guards in the 2025 rankings. This does not include players who were in the top 10 of the rankings.</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1130315" first="Sawyer" last="Thompson"], Pineville - Thompson led the Freshman class as a whole in scoring and is a highly skilled guard who can score the ball all over the court. Sawyer is a volume scorer who can heat up quickly and often has to carry the offense for the Mountain Lions.</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1089524" first="Zander" last="Carter"], Ashland - Carter is a bigger guard who thrives as a catch and shoot threat but continues to improve as a driver and finisher through contact. Zander should be the main offensive threat for Ashland next season and has had a couple of years to get ready for that role.</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1130312" first="Andersen" last="Green"], Lexington Christian - Andersen is a key piece of a very young LCA roster that got better as the season rolled along. Green has an old school game and is not afraid to post up smaller guards. At 6'3, Green can step out and knock down threes or can bully his defender to the rim.</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1320168" first="Cooper" last="Davenport"], Henderson County -  Cooper is one of the best rising Sophomores in the second region and is already off to a hot start on the AAU circuit this spring. Davenport is one of the best shooters in the class and will only get better as he gets stronger and more comfortable finishing through contact.</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1202168" first="Greg" last="Brooks"], Cordia - Brooks is one of the leading scorers in the class and is on pace for a huge number of career points (assuming he stays at Cordia). Greg is one of the best prospects in the mountains but Cordia doesn't leave the region often so not as many folks know his name.
