Loy had half of his teams assists on Wednesday as he did a nice job of driving to the paint and either finding his forwards with pocket passes to the paint or kickouts to shooters. A very experienced point guard, I’ve seen Loy play in a bunch of big games and he usually finds a way to make an impact in the big moments. While he wasn’t able to lead his team to victory, Loy made some plays in the important moments for an Adair County team that expects to make it back to Lexington for the sweet 16.

Making the move from 45th to 33rd, Loy has had a decorated career at Adair County. He’s scored over 2,000 career points and should end up somewhere between 2500 and 2750 for his career. A steady hand at point guard, Connor is a front runner for 5th region player of the year and will look to get Adair back to Rupp.

Loy had a huge game for Adair County when I watched him during the June live period and he continued to show the ability to impact winning in July with Central KY. I love how Loy plays off two feet when attacking the basket, staying on balance and giving himself outs to pass and pivot. With good touch in the mid-range area, Loy is efficient from the 6-12 foot range when attacking off the bounce. Loy’s most impressive bucket of the game was a nasty pull-up 3-pointer in transition. After making it to Rupp Arena and winning a game last season, Adair County has their sights set even higher as their 2025 core are now seniors.

Loy is the offensive key for an impressive Adair County squad. He runs the offense by delivering accurate passes to open teammates in transition and the half-court. The ball is always moving as he displays his quick decision-making and high basketball IQ. He is a very good driver, finishing through contact, and can knockdown shots out to 3-point range as well.

Adair could be a sleeper to make a Final 4 or better run at Rupp and Loy is one of the best players in the tournament that most haven’t heard of. Connor is a 2,000 point scorer who has a D1 offer from McNeese state. Adair will need him to be good to make a run.

Adair County fought for the entire game and their floor general Loy was impressive all game. A limited athlete, Loy made a bunch of contested shots and used patience and fakes to get space to operate. When Loy got a step past his primary defender, he would draw help-side defense and find the open man. I liked the toughness and shot-making ability Loy flashed on Monday night. The Evangel Christian pressure was swarming all game and Loy did a nice job handling traps and helping set his teammates up. I think Adair County has a chance to make a deep playoff run with a nice 2025 core of Loy and Isaiah Cochran Isaiah Cochran 6'6" | SF Adair County | 2025 State #383 Nation KY .

One of the more overlooked players in the class (and probably under-ranked after looking at it again), Loy is a high scoring guard for Adair and makes a major impact for the Indians every night out. A very efficient scorer, Connor is putting up 18 points on 59/44/74 shooting splits.

Loy gets overlooked a lot because Adair doesn’t get a ton of coverage at the state level but opposing coaches would tell you Connor is one of the best in the region. Capable of scoring a lot of points in a short amount of time, Loy is starting to draw interest at the D2 level and looks like he should be a scholarship level player in college.
