I watched every single minute of the state tournament and talked to several analysts in attendance to find out. After 21 games, here are the first team All-State Tournament selections. 2nd, 3rd team, and an honorable mentions list will be announced throughout the following days. My colleague Caleb Jones breaks down All-Tournament teams by classification here.

Donaldson led his team to back-to-back comeback wins in the state tournament. The dual sport Auburn signee played hard over the 64 minute stretch. He showed off an incredible motor, high-level playmaking, and all the tools needed to be an impact defender at the next level.

Kugel averaged 20.5 points over his last two high schools games. In each performance, he flashed the combination of size, athleticism, and physical tools that’s made him a stock riser. The 6’6 wing is a three-level scorer with a dangerous pull up and an aggressive slashing style. He creates for others thanks to his gravity and passing.

Brown is an athletic wing that led his team in scoring all season. The state tournament was more of the same. He uses his length and activity level on the defensive end to create turnovers and get deflections. The Ohio signee impact on the defensive end fuels his transition scoring. In the halfcourt, Brown is efficient from beyond the arc and is a dangerous downhill scorer.
PF:
Cameron Boozer

Boozer outplayed a McDonald’s All-American in his first state championship appearance. He was a consistent double-double threat the entire season, including the two game span, all while averaging 4 assists. The 2025 prospect has the strength, skills, and maturity to be considered a top 150 player in the class of 2022.

Hendricks state tournament double-double came with three blocks a game. He shows his versatility in every game. The UCF signee is one of the few players that can protect the rim and shoot well beyond the line. The athleticism and toughness he displays at 6’9 are a potent package heading to the AAC.
