2023 Rankings Update: Top Centers

<p>The 2023 class is the most loaded we have seen for a while and there is depth at every position group. Here’s a look a the centers in the Junior Class. This list does not include players who were in the top 10 of the class.</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1110297" first="Caleb" last="Brooks"], Cooper - Brooks had a breakout Junior season as he became the go to scorer for Cooper and was a double double threat every night out. Caleb can stretch the floor with his shooting from distance as a catch and shoot stretch big. He's not yet comfortable putting the ball on the floor consistently and he needs to be a more active rebounder on every possession but his ceiling lends itself to being a D1 prospect.</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1364720" first="Gabriel" last="Dynes"], Simon Kenton - Dynes came on the radar this season thanks to a 9 inch growth spurt over the last year that saw him get all the way up to 7'2. Gabe is extremely thin but he can move well and is a consistent finisher with both hands. He was one of the top shot blockers in Kentucky and his defense and rebounding are ahead of his offense right now. He will likely be on the radar for D1 schools thanks to his huge size.</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1236960" first="David" last="Pfeifer"], Trinity - David is one of the better bigs in Louisville but doesn't get talked about much in comparison to others. Pfeifer can really guard and is switchable across multiple positions. Offensively, he can score with his back to the basket or can face up and knock down the occasional jumper. </p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1208173" first="Brett" last="Erslan"], Madison Southern - Erslan is a mountain of a man who looks more like a left tackle than a center at times but he has polish around the rim and has displayed excellent body control where he can guard without fouling. Madison Southern had a historic season this year and Erslan's consistent post presence was a difference maker on a lot of nights.</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1208156" first="Micah" last="Wills"], Grant County - Wills is a player who could see a big boost this summer as he has consistently shown good hands and finishing ability every time I've seen him play. He excels in the pick and roll and flashed a little bit of a mean streak in the regional tournament.
