Rayvon Griffith Rayvon Griffith 6'6" | SF AZ Compass Prep | 2023 State #78 Nation AZ , 6’5 SF Cincinnati Taft 2023: Rayvon came to PLAY on Friday, leading Taft to a blowout against Mason and a competitive contest with Indy Cathedral. Griffith made a statement with his performance this weekend, looking incredibly engaged on both ends of the floor. Rayvon was playing like a top 25 nationally ranked prospect should and Ohio fans should appreciate his talents each time he steps on the court. Griffith is a tough shot maker who sometimes falls in love with his shot a little too much. Griffith was making plays defensively and that leads to fast-break opportunities where Griffith can use his NBA level athleticism.
Eian Elmer Eian Elmer 6'6" | SF Taft | 2023 State OH , 6’6 SF Cincinnati Taft 2023: Elmer, a transfer from Covington (KY) Holmes is getting adjusted to playing with his Taft teammates and was a clear top performer this weekend. Elmer is a great athlete who had some dunks, blocks and rebounds with his explosiveness. Elmer is best as a slasher offensively but did knock down some occasional outside shots in the two games we watched of Taft on Friday. Elmer has a ways to go on the defensive end in terms of awareness and positioning, but playing under DeMarco Bradley should improve these skills. Elmer has Division I level talent and will hopefully get on some radars fairly soon.
Antaune Allen Antaune Allen 6'2" | CG Dunbar | 2023 State OH , 6’2 SG Dayton Dunbar 2023: Allen continues his impressive Spring/Summer and finds himself on another top performers list from an event he plays in. Allen is very explosive and shined with his dribble drive game in the one game we saw of Allen this weekend. Allen did a nice job of finding the open teammate when defenses collapse on him. Dunbar is also going to play a high pressure defensive system to try and jump-start fast-break opportunities for their athletes to shine.
Gavin Geisel Gavin Geisel 6'0" | SG Alter | 2023 State OH , 6’0 SG Kettering Alter 2023: We could’ve selected really any of Alter’s complimentary pieces for this nod. Geisel, Anthony Ruffolo Anthony Ruffolo 5'10" | PG Archbishop Alter | 2023 State OH , Ryan Chew Ryan Chew 5'11" | PG Bellbrook | 2022 State OH and Aj Leen all played well against Covington Catholic (KY) in a tight Alter victory. Geisel shot the ball at a high level from the outside and played within the offense for Alter. With how much experience Alter has, it’s no surprise that they move the ball exceptionally well on the outside. All five of their starters are capable of leading the team in scoring on any given night and Geisel was the guy who stepped up for them the most when we watched them this weekend. Small colleges will love scouting Alter’s 2023 class this season and next.
Evan Ipsaro Evan Ipsaro 5'10" | PG New Richmond | 2023 OH , 5’11 PG Covington Catholic (KY) 2023: Ipsaro was one of the top performers from any class at the event, making plays whenever the ball was in his hands. Ipsaro has elite quickness and the athleticism and burst to get around defenders when he wants. Ipsaro shot the ball efficiently from the outside, taking a heavy scoring load. Ipsaro is a great play-making guard who really looks to get others involved. We expect Division I coaches to enjoy watching Ipsaro with Indiana Elite 3SSB 16U or Covington Catholic. Ipsaro should be getting Division I offers sooner rather than later.
