Xavier Harris Xavier Harris 6'1" | PG Hillcrest Prep | 2023 CO – Suns
Harris has come out of his shell in this Pangos event and has been showing why he is regarded as one of the top guards in the entire class. Harris gets to the rim as easily as anyone else and finishes. Harris has enormous hands, and it allows him to finish around the rim as well as be active on defense. He had multiple strip steals and rips in the open court, which just turned into a basket the other way. Albeit his team loss, Harris was one of the most productive players on the day as a two-way player that gets it done.
Joey Bilello Joey Bilello 6'8" | SF Thunderridge | 2022 State CO – Warriors
When Bilello is on the floor, great things happen. He scored a few baskets on clean up baskets and moved without the ball. With Bilello, you always know what you’re going to get, and that is a hardworking forward that at 6’7 can step out and shoot the 3, but also is active on the boards and knows his way around the rim. Bilello had a couple of clean-up finishes in the game, got his hands in the lanes on the defensive end, and altered a few shots, and his best play was a dunk in transition.
Elijah Knudsen Elijah Knudsen 5'10" | CG Mead | 2022 State CO – Kings
The sharpshooter from Mead got back to his ways. We have seen him as a playmaker the last couple of weeks, so it was good to see him get back to knocking down 3-pointers and creating for himself off of the dribble. Knudsen came into the game and immediately hit a stepback 3-pointer as soon as he got in the game. Knudsen has a quick release and high confidence. He hit two 3-pointers in the game and also got himself going on the defensive end as well as he has active hands and takes pride in his individual matchup as he refuses to be scored on.
Brock Wisne Brock Wisne 6'9" | PF Colorado Prep | 2022 State CO – Clippers
We typically see Wisne scoring the basketball and trying to create for himself, we saw some of that in the second half as he got himself on the board and started scoring, but it was a balanced effort for him. On Day 3, Wisne showcased himself in a different light. Wisne had one of the best passes on the day, although his teammate missed the layup. He also stepped up on defense, which was the biggest surprise for me. Wisne was blocking shots, competing on the boards, and also stepping up in help side. When Wisne can open up both parts of his game that will separate him from the pack and make him that much more dangerous.
Jordan McKay Jordan McKay 6'3" | SF Liberty | 2022 State CO – Kings
McKay does a bit of everything. His versatility makes him appealing, as it is difficult to say what he does best. He was hitting shots, running the floor and filling the lanes for open layups and also had a couple of defensive stops. If McKay demanded the ball more, he would easily have more significant impacts on games as he creates a dilemma of being too big for guards but too quick for bigs. I like what I saw on both ends of the floor from him, as he made sure to get involved early and remain aggressive.
Luke Williams Luke Williams 5'9" | CG Dsst Green Valley | 2022 State CO – DSST Green Valley
Williams is a small guard that makes big plays in the game. He is ultra-confident with the ball in his hands and is a score-first point guard that can easily create for himself. Williams started the game out with a mid-range pull-up and then got involved defensively. He was causing chaos on that end of the floor by playing the passing lanes, and his highlight play was back-to-back finishes with a steal. I am excited to see a full game from him where he is the focal point of the offense and playmaker that has the ball in his hands.
