PrepHoops.com has added a new feature on the site with links of player highlights and/or game film now available on prospect profiles. To take advantage of this, we have started to add these videos to players in Oregon in the Class of 2021 at all different levels. Here’s a look at four more players whose profiles have recently been updated, all of whom will be playing together for the Oregon Prospects AAU program.

Analysis: Gakwasi is one of the most versatile and skilled players in the entire Class of 2021. At 6-foot-5, he has the height to play inside and will post up on occasion. But Gakwasi is much more dangerous with the ball in his hands, where he uses his creativity to work his way in off the bounce and either finish around the hoop or dump it off to the open man underneath. He has a very smooth outside shot and can either convert it off the catch-and-shoot or use a dribble or two and hit a pull-up either going to his left or right. Gakwasi has the ability to grab a defensive rebound and immediately turn it upcourt and start the break. He holds an offer from Portland other Division I schools are watching.

Prospect: [player_tooltip player_id="855926" first="Nate" last="Meithof"]

HS: McNary

Height/Position: 6-4 - Shooting Guard

PrepHoops Oregon Class of 2021 Ranking: #8

Analysis: Meithof is one of the top all-around scoring threats in the state and he led 6A in scoring for much of the season. At 6-foot-5 he has the size to score down low but he’s mostly a threat from the perimeter, whether it’s from strong drives to the hoop with finishes at the cup or pulling from long range, beyond the three-point line. Meithof has the willingness to fight for rebounds and he too has the ability to snare a defensive board and take it coast-to-coast in transition. He has garnered Division I interest from leagues such as the Big Sky and WCC.

Prospect: [player_tooltip player_id="855930" first="Jalen" last="Grable"]

HS: Westview

Height/Position: 6-4 - Small Forward

PrepHoops Oregon Class of 2021 Ranking: #16

Analysis: One of the top run-and-jump athletes in the state, Grable started to emerge as a junior. The 6-foot-4 swingman plays above the rim and in addition to converting dunks on the break is a threat to catch the alleyoop in halfcourt settings. He also uses his length and athleticism to his advantage on offensive glass for putbacks. While he remains largely reticent offensively, Grable can hit the occasional open jumper and also create off of the dribble. An underrated skill of his is his crisp passing from the top of the key to cutters to the basket.

Prospect: [player_tooltip player_id="855952" first="Jalen" last="Adams"]

HS: Jefferson

Height/Position: 6-2 - Combo Guard

PrepHoops Oregon Class of 2021 Ranking: #35

Analysis: Jefferson had a deep squad this past season so Adams largely fit into the role assigned to him - that of a zone-busting, spot-up shooter. As evident in the video, he’s quite capable of hitting catch-and-shoot jumpers and he’s at his best when he has room to step into his shot. Adams is a good athlete and there are also a few clips of him here finishing well in transition. Defensively he held his own against whoever he was covering this past year.
