We’re here to answer the question of, “Who are the 10 best 2021 prospects in the Louisville area?”

What are the stipulations? None, really. Regardless of positions, what our top 10?

#1 [player_tooltip player_id="922990" first="Jaden" last="Rogers"], Fern Creek - The reigning 6th region player of the year, Jaden is the leading scorer for a loaded Fern Creek team and one of the top guards in the state, regardless of class. He’s holding multiple D1 offers and could move up to a mid major or better D1 prospect if we ever had AAU.

#2 [player_tooltip player_id="700960" first="Zek" last="Montgomery"], Fern Creek - Zek is a talented wing player who gets stuck on the block on offense more than he would probably like. He should have more D1 interest than he’s had so far. He has an offer from LaSalle but should be a solid low/mid D1 player and can be the best player in the class when his motor is running all the time.

#3 [player_tooltip player_id="922992" first="Sekou" last="Kalle"], DeSales - Big, long and athletic, Kalle is at his best as a rim runner on offense and a rim protector on the defensive end. His skill level keeps improving and his ceiling is high because of his athleticism. After spending a year at Aspire, he showed up at DeSales last fall and immediately became one of the top players in the city and a difference maker in the region.

#4 [player_tooltip player_id="922993" first="Darrius" last="Washington"], Fern Creek - Another member of the heralded Senior class at Fern Creek, Darrius probably gets the least pub of all of them but has more potential than the others thanks to his size and skill level. Ideally he would be a face up 4 man but Washington has to sit on the block and play the 5 most of the time. He has a D1 offer already but could gather more if he were allowed to flash his entire skill set.

#5 [player_tooltip player_id="793767" first="Jaylen" last="Fairman"], Jeffersontown - A heady point guard who is one of the best passers in the class, Fairman has a high basketball IQ and a knack for making the right play. Jaylen isn’t an aggressive scorer until he needs to be, preferring to run the team instead. After only one season spent in Kentucky, he quickly became one of the best point guards in the state.

#6 [player_tooltip player_id="922998" first="Cearius" last="Warren"], Fern Creek - Warren is one of those players that shows you just enough to imagine how good he could be if he ever reaches his ceiling. A freak athlete, Cearius is long and bouncy, always looking to dunk on the opposition. When is motor is running, there aren’t many better players in the class.

#7 [player_tooltip player_id="922999" first="Dez" last="Lindsay"], Male - Another long athlete, Dez can score the ball inside or out and is an underrated three point shooter. He was jammed behind a loaded front court last season but graduation opens up a whole lot of playing time for Lindsay and his should combine with Super Sophomore [player_tooltip player_id="932764" first="Kaleb" last="Glenn"] to have the top front court in the 7th region.

#8 [player_tooltip player_id="923001" first="Cam" last="Pope"], Male - Another Male Senior who has a whole lot of playing time ahead of him after splitting time last season, Pope is one of only 2 returning starters next season for Male. With more shots coming his way, it’s not out of the realm of possibility for Cam to double his scoring average and be above a 20 point per game scorer as a Senior.

#9 [player_tooltip player_id="793824" first="Shane" last="Bibby"], Central - Central had a down season but Bibby had a solid Junior as the lone double figure scorer for his team and he should be the go to scorer and leader for a young team next year. If Shane can improve his shooting numbers, he can make a HUGE jump in production.

#10 [player_tooltip player_id="793823" first="Ben" last="Craig"], Eastern - Eastern is loaded with younger talent and more and more transfers show up there every week it seems. Craig is a leader on the team and he does a little bit of everything to help the Eagles win. He doesn’t need sets run for him in order to score and he makes winning plays. His ceiling as a college prospect isn’t as high as others on this list but Ben does more to affect the game than more talented players ahead of him.
