The Spring Kick Off (2017) is in full force this morning. There has been a number of top performers this morning. Here is the list of the top playmakers for the morning session.
Spring Kick Off (2017): Morning Session – Playmaker
Playmaker #5 Pierce Holley 6’0 PG/SG (B&B Academy 16U)
Holley was huge in the first overtime game of the tournament. B&B were able to pull it out due in large part to his play making ability. Holley is strong and does a great job of getting down hill and using his strength to get to his spot. He finishes well around the rim and did a great job of getting his teammates involved.
Playmaker #4 Steven Croell 6’4 SG (Colorado Titans 16U Gold)
Croell has a nice handle and good length. He ran the point for a good portion of the game. Croell demonstrated a lot of versatility and a high basketball IQ. He is a solid shooter and can take opposing players off of the dribble at a high level. Croell was huge in the Titans success in the pool play round.
Playmaker #3 Dawson Garcia 6’7 PF (D1 Minnesota 16U)
It might sound silly to include a power forward in the mix for a playmaker; however, he is just that. He can make plays in an array of ways due to his skillset and length. Garcia executes on the offensive end at an extremely high level. He can play on the block as well as on the perimeter. Garcia is passionate on the block and creates double team situations that benefit his teammates.
Playmaker #2 Jaedon Bowles 6’5 SF (720 Kings 16U)
Bowles is the most talented player that we have seen this morning. His ability to play 1-4 was on display. He can shoot the basketball from anywhere on the floor and take players off of the dribble. He has good size which does not limit his athleticism. His basketball ceiling is through the roof. This is a kid to watch out for in years to come.
Playmaker #1 Jodaun Dotson 5’11 (Colorado Premier 16U)
Dotson scored or assisted on the first 20 points of the game against the 720 Kings. Dotson does a great job of making a move, being explosive, and staying low to the ground. His change of pace and direction is next level as well. He is a solid on ball defender who plays with a lot of energy and effort.
