Prep Hoops Spring Kick-off Stock Risers (16U) Day 1
Day one of the Prep Hoops Spring Kick-off didn’t see many close games but there were plenty of big performances in the first few games of the tournament. Here is is our list of day 1 16U stock risers.
Tristan Pratt 6’4 (The Force Basketball) had a huge opening game in a blowout win over South Central Elite. Pratt knocked down five three pointers and was able to connect from well beyond the three point line. He also showed his ability to score the ball going to the rim and create for his teammates.
Matthew Ragsdale 6’1 (The Force Basketball) is not an ultra athletic kid and doesn’t have great size but I was impressed with his game. Ragsdale have 17 points and was able to score from all three levels. He will be an interesting player to watch further in the tournament.
Dalen Ridgnal 6’4 (KC Spurs) was the seconds leading scorer with 12 points for the KC Spurs who had a surprisingly easy win over the Adidas sponsored Billiups Elite. Ridgnal was able to get to basket and finish over the opposing teams bigs throughout the night. I thought he was the best 16U player I saw Friday night and I’m looking forward to see if he can maintain that production.
Jaylen Randle 6’0 (Boykins Basketball Acadmey) is a big strong guard out of Wichita, Kansas who was well above the competition of the opposing team. He was able to get to the rim and finish and was able to get his shot any time he wanted too.
Dovonon Tate 6’0 (Denver Elite) showed that he is a complete package in the opening day of the Prep Hoops Spring Kick-off. He was able to get to the basket and finish as well as hitting shots from behind the arch. Tate is a shifty player with multiple gears and is a next-level prospect.
