Expert Analysis
Charles Clark | Prep Hoops Scout
His team came up short in their quarterfinal matchup but he was able to put together a big time scoring night before fouling out late in the game. He has good upper body strength that allows him to embrace contact when he attacks the paint but can also score from outside.

We fully expect to see some big-time performances from him throughout the playoffs, starting with their first matchup with BBA. He understands how to get to his spots without much of an issue, has good upper body strength, and can score the ball from multiple levels with high efficiency.

The Mount St. Mary commit is an absolute bucket. He just recently crossed over the 2000 point threshold for his high school career. He gets buckets in a variety of ways and is a threat at all three levels.

Got off to a slower start at the beginning of the game but really stepped up and helped his team make a nice run in the second half. He scored 19 out of his 24 Points in the second half, helping his team to cut a double-digit deficit all the way down to a tied game.

Walker got his in the second half as the game opened up and he had more opportunities to isolate and go 1 on 1. He’s a downhill playmaker that either sprays passes out or finishes well around the rim. Decent three point shooter as well when left open and has time. His frame allows him to guard with physicality as well, and be able to switch and guard taller/bigger guys if he has to. Will be a contributor at Mt. Saint Mary’s immediately next year.

was a menace in creating things off the bounce in isolation for The Burlington School. While he was just 3-for-9 from the field, he managed to go 7-of-7 from the free-throw line in producing 14 points and an assist for his squad. He sported a sleaker frame which allowed him to navigate into the painted area and draw contact on his attempts to the bucket. He remains a top name to know in North Carolina’s 2024 class at the guard spot.

, the driving force, imposes his will with relentless on-ball pressure, disrupting opponents and sparking swift transitions. His knack for drawing fouls and converting elbow pull-ups off the dribble adds a dynamic scoring dimension. A forceful presence enhances both defensive edge and offensive versatility. In a standout performance against Concord Academy, Walker contributed 22 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 assists, showcasing his impactful and well-rounded skills on the court.

is one of the best all around prospects in the state. He’s a strong, athletic guard who takes advantage of his frame on both ends of the floor. At 6’2″, 190 lbs, his length and size make him a scoring threat on all three levels. Walker’s a gifted driver who has proven he can make big-time finishes at the rim. He’s got an automatic mid-range game that forces defenders to play him honestly. Most significantly, he’s worked to develop a consistent three-ball that is lethal off the dribble. Walker has a knack for getting to the rim and putting the ball in the basket. He’s a dynamic guard who is a versatile scoring threat whenever the ball is in his hands.
Walker’s offensive game gets a ton of hype. What’s more intriguing is his commitment to defense. Great defense turns into great offense, and Walker embodies what it means to get after it on every play. What impresses me most about Walker is his willingness to put his body on the line. He’s a guy who coaches feel confident matching him up against an opposing team’s number 1 option. He plays aggressive, in-your-face defense which is a nuisance to navigate for ball handlers. Walker has control of his body and is disciplined underneath the basket and on the baseline. He keeps his hands up straight on closeouts and avoids contact at all costs. He’s a strong, savvy defender who plays with passion and poise.

is a guy I’ve seen play a lot of ball for the Burlington School. This past season, he cemented himself as the primary ball handler and number one option for the Spartans and led them to an NCISAA-2A state championship. 2022-2023 was picture perfect for Walker; a state title, national recognition, and an impressive jump to the #7 ranked point guard in North Carolina to show for it. Walker enters his senior season with that same dog mentality and hunger for another state championship that was the cornerstone to the Burlington School’s success last season.
