Nicholson rose over 50 spots as he provides a very unique blend of rim protection + the ability to make outside shots and is showing real progress in his overall game at both ends of the floor. Nicholson had a great Junior season in what was his first at The Burlington School, he averaged 6.4 Points, 5.0 Rebounds, 0.7 Assists, and 3.4 Blocks per game on 50/40/63 splits. He played a complimentary role offensively but showed a ton of positive trajectory in his ability to finish around the rim in traffic as the season went along. He can dive to the rim or pop off of setting a ball screen, hit the trail three, and be a quality dunker spot guy as he’s improving his strength to battle on the inside. Nicholson is mobile, you can switch with him out there, it also allows him to play with all types of different personnel groups with that versatility. Nicholson will likely be the feature big on Team Loaded South 3SSB 17u this summer where I think his recruitment will really pop.

Nicholson has been noticeably improving as the season has played out for The Burlington School who once again find themselves amongst the contenders for an NCISAA 2A Championship. Nicholson possesses a unique blend of rim protection on the defensive end + vertical AND traditional spacing on the offensive end. The kid blocks shots, catches lobs, and possesses the ability to knock down the open catch and shoot three. As the lights get brighter and the competition gets tougher, only more attention will be drawn to these games. If Nicholson can help TBS go on a title run while showing flashes of his tantalizing skillset, I fully expect him to get even more recruiting momentum heading into that vital 17u travel ball summer. Nicholson is averaging 6.2 Points, 4.8 Rebounds, 0.8 Assists, and 3.5 Blocks per game all on 50/39/63 splits.

Nicholson continues to stack high quality performances and that will reflect in the rankings update as he has a chance to be one of the highest risers in the 2027 class. In a dominant win over Millbrook, Nicholson finished with 17 Points, 5 Rebounds, and 4 Blocks in the big victory. He shot an efficient 7-10 from the field and connected on his only attempt from long range on the day. Nicholson’s blend of mobility, shot blocking, and vertical spacing make him a very appealing prospect. As he puts an emphasis on bulking the frame and continues to get reps in high level games, expect Nicholson’s recruitment to take off. After The John Wall, he was offered by Eastern Kentucky University, his first division one offer!

Nicholson was a bright spot for The Burlington School, going for 5 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 blocks despite the Friday loss. He is a very intriguing big man who could be a late-bloomer and become a key piece for a college program down the line. I especially loved Kamari’s defensive work, with fast feet to switch onto guards or cover ground in rotations to protect the rim. Along with some great length, Nicholson has the tools to be an elite rim-protector and anchor for the Spartans’ defense. On the offensive end, they ran a few sets through Kamari outside the arc, which displayed some of his potential as a passer.

Nicholson continues to establish himself as one of the best bigs in NC regardless of class and he’s starting to adjust to the speed of the game now that he’s dealing with better competition. Nicholson is a mobile and versatile big that is starting to show some outside touch in his game as well. Nicholson’s flashes will become consistency as he gets more and more time playing this kind of basketball. He is a real anchor for this TBS defense and did a nice job showcasing that this weekend. Expect TBS to navigate the rest of their schedule so they can peak at the right time with Nicholson as a major piece in the NCISAA 2A Title Push.

Nicholson is a guy that continues to get better and better at a steady rate. A mobile big that consistently catches lobs, anchors the defense, and is showing more flashes of his game expanding quickly. For this TBS team he provides that backbone defensively at the rim and a ton of vertical spacing offensively. He knows their system well, understands his role, and executes it at a high level consistently. His ranking will rise considerably in the next update and it’s easy to see why within moments of watching him.

Nicholson rounds things out at the center position out of Warren County at No. 10, 112th overall. He’s a prospect with potential given his ability to fly around and make things happen on both ends of the floor. He finished the season averaging 10.6 points, 6.6 rebounds and 4.1 blocks per game. He was a top shot-blocker in the NCHSAA 1A East ranks and beyond, ranking seventh overall in blocks per contest in the state, according to MaxPreps. He’ll be a young big man to keep track of over the next few seasons.

Standing around 6’9 with nice length and the ability to step out and shoot jumpers out to the three point line he might be one of the most unique prospects in the area code. He has his Warren County squad sitting at 15-10 heading into the postseason which is their best finish since 2016-17.
