made the decision to change teams and make the move over to Team Thad EYBL 17u for the EYBL session in Kansas City. During that session, Thad went 1-3 but Holmes proved to be a valuable addition to the roster. For the session, he averaged 13.5 Points, 1.0 Rebounds, 0.8 Assists, and 0.8 Blocks per game on 56/30/60 shooting splits. Holmes proved that no matter the circuit, his ability to score and make shots will translate, especially in his 22 Point performance in a close loss to Nightrydas Elite. Holmes still has some untapped ability in the game beyond scoring the basketball and if he can find a way to tap into that with consistency, he’ll be able to reach his full upside. For now he’s still able to score at a very high level no matter the situation he’s in and it will be fun to track to see where he ends up taking this run with Team Thad.

Holmes was incredibly dynamic in his ability to make plays for Team Loaded South 3SSB 17u in Indiana. The team had a 1-3 record with Holmes as a real bright spot amongst them as he averaged 14.0 Points, 0.8 Rebounds, 1.8 Assists, and 1.0 Steals per game on the session. Holmes has the ability to make difficult shots from the perimeter at his size while being a legit above the rim athlete in transition. His three level scoring is a byproduct of his smooth game, size, and ability to make plays within the flow of the game. Holmes is starting to produce with the consistency we asked for as he tries to make a real push for national notoriety as his recruitment continues to pick up. It will be fun tracking him over the next few months as he really makes his case to college coaches.

Holmes had a special weekend for Team Loaded South 17u 3SSB in SoCal helping his team to a 2-2 record by producing at what can be described as an elite level. Holmes averaged 24.3 Points, 4.3 Rebounds, 0.8 Assists, 1.3 Steals, and 0.5 Blocks per game on 59/64/58 shooting splits. Holmes is a shot maker with size and a remarkably smooth game. He’s got legit above the rim ability in transition with a strong enough off the bounce game to attack a closeout and make a play at the rim. Holmes producing at this volume, with this efficiency, with this level of consistency over four games is really really impressive. If he can even remotely maintain this over the course of the remaining 3SSB Sessions this summer, he’ll be a strong national riser in the rankings and deservedly so.

Holmes just played winning basketball all weekend. He didn’t force shots, stayed within the flow, and made the right plays when they were there. When defenses loaded up elsewhere, he stepped in and produced. You could trust him possession to possession, which is why he ended up with MVP.

Holmes is at a very unique spot in his journey through his high school career. He’s established himself as a bonafide division one prospect and an extremely talented wing with a versatile game. Leading the #3 seed The Burlington School (16-11) into the playoffs, they’re going to need Holmes to play like the best player in the classification to cruise through and secure a championship. The beautiful thing is he’s more than capable of that. Holmes is averaging an impressive 18.5 Points, 4.0 Rebounds, 1.8 Assists, and 1.8 Steals per game, all on 50/35/62 splits. Holmes possesses true three level scoring ability and he does it in a smooth fashion. He’s a great shooter off the catch and becoming a more and more dynamic above the rim athlete in transition. There’s a lot of talent around him, they’ve spent the last 8 months testing themselves to prepare for this run right here, and Holmes is 100% capable of leading TBS on a deep playoff run and maybe a state title. If he can do that, he’ll be even more stamped than he already is.

. The well rounded wing scorer had an afternoon full of calm buckets in a dominant TBS win over Durham Academy. Holmes has legit above the rim athleticism in transition, a lethal catch and shoot game, with all of the other refined skills showing real continued progress. Holmes is at his best when he’s engaged on the glass which he was in this one, especially in the middle 3rd of the game where TBS ran away with it. He doesn’t need the ball in his hands a lot to have a real impact on the scoresheet, and his production is translating to more success in the W/L department for TBS.

Holmes is not a typical front-court guy, he’s a rare true guard/forward because he can dribble, pass, and shoot while being a real physical presence in that 6’6″ frame. Holmes is very reliable as a shooter off the catch, can explode at the rim in transition, and can bully smaller defenders on switches. He’s a true three level guy that is turning the potential to production corner quickly and should continue to garner the high major recruitment we’ve seen him get lately.

Holmes is set to show off his versatility as a perimeter threat and slasher for The Burlington School as he moves into the 2027 class; he’s shown he can knock down shots with ease on the perimeter and finish with authority around the rim, something that should be a lethal presence for the Spartans on their hunt for an NCISAA State Title; look for his name to grow on the recruiting trail in 2025-26

Holmes is an intriguing prospect to get to know at Garner High this upcoming high school season.
