Zion was his usual do-it-all self this weekend in Legacy’s game 1 against Mesquite Horn on Saturday afternoon. Pipkin constantly hit pull up jumpers from long range in the face of the defense and was getting in the opponents head all game on the defensive end, applying constant physical pressure leading to several steals and transition buckets for open teammates. The recent Wichita State Shockers commit has definitely upped this play his season to a whole other level where he can always make something out of nothing. Zion is great at keeping his teammates involved and will look to lead Legacy SSS to another strong showing this school season while continuing to impress in whatever setting he plays in.

, Pipkin laid it all out on the court and was able to score the ball in a variety of ways against some tough defense. Whether it was driving to the basket or pulling up over the defender for a jumpshot, Zion was able to score some hard buckets that would’ve been extremely tough for the average hooper. Pipkin ended up with 31 points in the close win for
Cooz Elite
while also playing lockdown defense and limiting his matchup to few buckets. Zion is a huge prospect who will be one to watch going into the upcoming year for school ball, but look for him to continue showing off his athleticism and skill further into the summer.

The Pick-N-Roll was used to create scoring opportunities for his team. Pipkin knows the right time to use the screen, which he use to get his spots. One of the few players that utilize the mid-range. His vision can go underrated, but that skill is what stands out to me. Zion have the patience to let the play develop before making his decisions.

Pipkin showcased why he is nationally ranked by ESPN. Great pick-n-roll ball handler that can make decisions, and create unique ways to score. Excellent passer with the vision to go along steadily finding the opener shooter or the cutting man. Strong player you can tell by how big his shoulders are. That helps when he drives through the shoulder of defenders trying to knock him off his angle to the rim.
