Continue ReadingZion displayed his tremendous scoring ability and defensive prowess on both sides of the court during the prime time game of the Lee Sloan Invitational on Saturday evening. Matched up against top 2024 prospect Stoney Hadnot Stoney Hadnot 6’6″ | SG Cypress Springs | 2024 State TX , Pipkin laid it all out on the court and was able to score the ball in a variety of ways against some tough defense. Whether it was driving to the basket or pulling up over the defender for a jumpshot, Zion was able to score some hard buckets that would’ve been extremely tough for the average hooper. Pipkin ended up with 31 points in the close win for Cooz Elite while also playing lockdown defense and limiting his matchup to few buckets. Zion is a huge prospect who will be one to watch going into the upcoming year for school ball, but look for him to continue showing off his athleticism and skill further into the summer.

Brayden used his size to dominate the paint in his team’s Saturday evening game against Team Temple. His height allowed him to finish several oops over the defense and was successful at getting just about any bucket he wanted on the inside. Young also possesses great awareness on the defensive end, blocking almost every shot that was put up against him and coming down with the rebound off the snatch block. Brayden is also something of a putback king as he is relentless on the offensive glass, always looking to box out his matchup and go back up with the ball. Look for Brayden to continue to be a big time player on this Cooz Elite squad.
Dorian is a big time player on his Texas Takeover team that helped to carry the momentum in their game against the Houston Hurricanes. Hayes drained several pullup jumpers both from midrange and three point land, and many of his baskets came on the transition break. Dorian has the quickness on the offensive end to be able to beat his defender every time, getting to his spot and calmly hitting the shot with poise. He also is adept at driving to the basket and finishing over contact. Hayes helped Texas Takeover pull away with the lead late in this contest and showed everyone why he is a highly ranked prospect in the class of 2025.
Logan Menefee
Logan Menefee
Logan was a big time paint player in his team’s Saturday afternoon game. He occupied much of the inside on both ends of the court and was a huge force, especially on defense. He sent opponents shots away left and right as well as making sure that he got buckets on the offensive end, using a variety of post moves to score the basketball. Menefee was also very vocal on defense, always letting his team know where the ball was on the floor and showed exceptional lateral quickness for a big man. He figures to play a big role on Ridge Point come this Fall season and will be counted upon probably just about or more than he is on this Takeover squad. This kid has the potential to be a big time bucket getter and defensive stopper moving forward.
