Hayes showed ability to beat the defense from all levels of the floor driving to the basket, pulling up from midrange, and shooting at an efficient clip from three-point range. He is also effective as a playmaker, setting up teammates for easy baskets and making things happen on both sides of the ball. Dorian is a big time player on his Texas Takeover team that helped to carry the momentum in their game against the Houston Hurricanes. Hayes drained several pullup jumpers both from midrange and three point land, and many of his baskets came on the transition break. Dorian has the quickness on the offensive end to be able to beat his defender every time, getting to his spot and calmly hitting the shot with poise. He also is adept at driving to the basket and finishing over contact. Hayes helped Texas Takeover pull away with the lead late in this contest and showed everyone why he is a highly ranked prospect in the class of 2025.
