Names like Akeem (Name-change Hakeem haven’t occurred yet), Clyde Drexler, Benny Anders, Otis Birdsong, and many more have built. Players had a chance to increase their value right in front of the Cougar coaching staff. Lets take a look at some impressive performances.
Takoreyn Lawsonn
Takoreyn Lawsonn
Lawson is a wing that provides valuable minutes. His athleticism can be displayed when he leaps for rebounds, attacks the rim, or his activity in the passing lanes. Slashing with that can finish through the contact. His natural gifts come out on the defensive side by chasing down blocks or forcing opponents to take bad shots.
The Pick-N-Roll was used to create scoring opportunities for his team. Pipkin knows the right time to use the screen, which he use to get his spots. One of the few players that utilize the mid-range. His vision can go underrated, but that skill is what stands out to me. Zion have the patience to let the play develop before making his decisions.
Dorian Hayes

Hayes get better every time I watch him play. Great job of attacking defenders hip forcing them to open up. Plays with a toughness you only get from being around other tough players. Soft touch when finishing around the rim. His long arms can make it hard for ball handlers to see the open man. It was special to see playing on UH campus being coached by his dad on the campus his grandfather made history in. Already have two D-1 offers from Lamar and McNeese state University.
Miller have already improved with the pace he plays with for his size. At 6’10 Miller have so much positive going for his including dribbling the ball, passing, and interior presence. His reactions to how the defense is playing come with developing patience.
Eian is showing its in him and not on him with his natural feel for the game. Disruptive defensively with his presence in passing lanes. Guard that gets his team into the right sets, and plays with IQ more than skill. TOUGH guard that can finish over taller defenders. Not to mention he crashed the defensive boards.
