Ari Rosenfeld | Prep Hoops Scout
Formerly committed to NAIA program Southeastern (FL) in the 2025 class, Conlon instead opted for a post-grad year at Hill in hopes of securing D1 and/or D2 recruitment. The Devon Prep (PA) grad appears on his way to making that a reality, continuing a strong start to the year with a well-rounded 16-point effort in Hill’s first round win. Conlon impressed with his versatility and IQ, playing both inside and out with a diverse offensive skillset. He showed toughness near the rim while also stepping out for a pair of 3s, a key step to track in his development. He should be a popular name among high-academic scholarship-level programs.

Conlon has no issues doing the dirty work for Hill and doesn’t need to be a primary scorer to see his impact on the game. He was active on the boards and in the right spots to get rebounds. He showed that he can make plays for others. He chipped in 7 points in the win over ASCS. Conlon does a nice job running the floor in transition.

A fixture in the starting lineup for several years while helping establish Devon Prep as a consistent factor in the PCL, Conlon backed off a commitment to NAIA program Southeastern (FL) and instead opted for a post-grad year at Hill. He should fit seamlessly into the Rams’ system, as Hill has been known to have success with skilled, high-IQ mismatch forwards in Conlon’s mold. A versatile offensive weapon, he uses a thicker frame to his advantage as he works into position all across the floor with a cerebral approach and wide-ranging dribble/pass/shoot skillset. Conlon’s versatility at his size makes him a clear target at the scholarship level, while he’ll have a chance to catch eyes at the D1 level if he can continue reshaping his body and iron out a more clear defensive fit in the midst of his post-grad year.

Conlon has been labeled as a stretch-4, a point forward and a traditional small forward. Whichever description you choose, just know that this Southeastern University commit can do it all on the basketball court. He proved that gain on Friday night as he scored at every level as well as in transition, distributed and rebounded. In DP’s win over Valley View, Conlon (27 points) was especially effective on straight line drives to the rack. He also handed out several creative dimes. On defense, Conlon swatted a couple shot too.

The lone member of Devon’s lineup voted First Team All-Catholic, Conlon backed up his standing with his typically rugged and versatile impact that kept Devon within striking distance until late in the game. He stands out with his ability to play all over the floor offensively, stepping out to the perimeter for jumpers but also punishing mismatches in the post or working off the bounce while keeping eyes out for cutting teammates. Conlon has also done good work on his body over the years to maximize his athleticism. Concerns about his defensive fit were what largely hindered his D1 recruitment, but it wouldn’t be a surprise for Conlon to continue his productive ways at the NAIA level for Southeastern (FL).

Conlon recently committed to Southeastern University (D2) and after his performance on Sunday, it is to see why the Fire pursuit Conlon. This stretch-4 prospect stuffed the stat book during Devon Prep’s win over West Catholic with 24 points and 7 rebounds. Conlon did a great deal of his scoring on the interior where his solid frame and polished footwork produced numerous hoops out of post ups. He also worked the offensive glass for points and hit jumpers. Conlon’s creative passing skills were on display too.
