An incoming post-grad for the defending PAISAA champions, Diomedi arrives at Hill after generating some buzz last season as a senior at St. Joe’s Montvale. An unorthodox old-school forward, he excels at using his strong frame, keen understanding of positioning, and soft hands/touch to rack up efficient points around the rim. He shows nice flashes as a catch-and-shoot threat and occasional slasher from the perimeter, which will be key areas to continue to develop over the course of his post-grad year. He’ll also have some questions to address on the defensive end if he hopes to attract scholarship-level recruitment, but the Jersey product was becoming a priority last winter for high-academic D3s and should have high-level programs in that vein trying to get things done with him early.

An efficient and versatile scoring attack saw Diomedi utilize good body control and sound footwork to be effective in the low post area with his back to the basket game, utilizing jump stops and step throughs to bait defenders and get to the free throw line while also attacking driving angles from the perimeter out of the triple threat and get to the basket. Equally impactful off the ball, Diomedi also flashed reliable perimeter catch and shoot ability.

Diomedi was effective scoring out of his perimeter face up game, attacking driving lanes to get in the paint and utilizing different footwork and converting on a number of two foot finishes. Just as effective off the ball, Diomedi also flashed his perimeter catch and shoot ability.

Diomedi thrives at attacking from the perimeter, both out of the triple threat position and when attacking closeouts, converting on several strong drives while also mixing in some mid range pull ups. A fundamentally sound basketball player, Diomedi is also highly effective playing off two feet and maintaining balance through contact, as he consistently uses shot fakes to create space and finish around defenders.

Highly effective playing off two feet, playing through bumps, and effectively using shot fakes, Diomedi got going converting on a number of drives from the perimeter out the triple threat position as well as attacking closeouts. Diomedi also mixed up his scoring attack by knocking shots in the mid range area.

Tom Diomedi Tom Diomedi 6'5" | PF/SF The Hill School | 2027 State PA flashed his ability to score on the ball while also demonstrating his ability to be effective off the ball. Diomedi showed flashes of his ability to score out of the triple threat, his mid range shot making ability, as well as his ability to score out of the low post. Diomedi also displayed his ability to move well without the basketball, constantly cutting to open space. Diomedi was also impactful on the offensive glass, crashing the boards and generating extra possessions and getting putbacks.
