Richfield figures to be one of the top teams in Class AAA this season, and the addition of Waleed in the backcourt is a big reason why. Against Mahtomedi his ball-pressure defensively was key in a win. Waleed was relentless picking up opposing guards full-court and pressuring the ball the length of the floor. He’s so quick moving laterally, and although he can occasionally get in foul trouble, he has quick hands to come up with steals leading to transition buckets for his team. One of those players who can make a big impact on a game without needing to shoot much.
