About Tremel

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

High Energy Combo guard and a Pest on defense. High IQ for the game and I try to put my teammates in the best positions to score.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am a team player and will do what it takes to help my team secure the win. I have high energy on the floor and always try to be a leader on the floor.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am involved In a community organization called Elevate, which focuses on my academics and community. I often help with packing food for the homeless and supplies that they may need.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I assist my dad with his club team and they are 4th/5th graders and I instruct and teach them how to play basketball. I enjoy helping them with skills and I enjoy answering any questions that they may have about the sport. I have two younger brothers that I help coach as well on the team.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Yes I have, at a very young age I found a love for the game of basketball and realized that I was passionate about the game. I have played up since I was 7 years old on an organized team. I have had challenges on the court due to playing up with older kids and understanding my size and strength. I am very vocal but older guys aren’t very open to listening always to younger.

What type of college are you looking for?

I want to attend college and follow my dream to play on the next level with a possible D1, D2 University. College’s that I would love to attend is Kansas State, Wakeforest College , Aubrun University,UCCS, University of Wisconsin, UIC, University of Nebraska to name a few.

Phipps is an athletic and physical guard who played with energy and toughness. He handled pressure well, used his body to absorb contact on finishes and made plays at the rim. His effort on both ends and ability to spark his team kept them competitive. With strength, athleticism, and motor, Phipps has the tools to continue building his game but his work defensively is where I feel he shines brightest.
