Papcun is one of the state’s most improved players this season, and he showcased his full offensive arsenal against the Wolverines, dropping 40 points on efficient shooting. The 6-2/6-3 wing can handle it well, has great body control around the rim, and is a pure shooter who can knock down shots from deep both on balance and off-balance or out of rhythm. He has really improved as a ball-handler and shot creator, and he absolutely dominated the game on Friday night. In addition to his work offensively, he was a menace on the defensive end, routinely getting into passing lanes and getting his hands on passes to go the other way. A dominant two-way performance from the rising junior.

was elite in the paint in this game. He got to the rim throughout this game and finished many difficult layups at high speeds. He was great at initiating contact with his body and bumping his defender off balance, which led to many efficient looks for himself around the rim. His dribble pickups were very difficult for his defenders to guard. He was great at doing a high dribble pickup into a Euro step, which created angles for himself around the rim, allowing him to finish through traffic with his soft touch. He was great off of two feet as well. Again using his body down low, he would jump off two feet and finish up and through contact consistently. This skill helped him draw a heap of fouls at the rim. He also hit a three off the catch, showing his shooting ability. He did all of this while being a very impactful defender in the passing lanes, collecting many steals.

has set nets ablaze this season for Norwalk. After not starting a single game in 2024-25 and averaging just 3.5 points, Papcun put some major work in over the offseason and is now a top ten scorer in 4A.
Now averaging 21.6 points and 5.9 rebounds per game for the Warriors while shooting a ridiculous 30-of-66 (45.5%) from three this season, Papcun is at the top of every scouting report for opponents. Norwalk is red-hot right now, too. After starting the season 0-2, the Warriors are in the midst of a nine-game winning streak.

may start to make some folks rethink that.
Finishing with 31 points against Washington on Saturday, Papcun launched a heat-check three on several possessions late, in what was a close game. He stayed hot. Making 10-of-14 shots from the field and 5-of-8 from three, Papcun looked like one of the better shooters in 4A when matching up with the Warriors. He’ll be a name to keep tabs on throughout the rest of the season and into his final year on the AAU circuit.
He delivered a clutch performance to lead Norwalk to a thrilling comeback win over Valley, pouring in 31 points while grabbing 7 rebounds and adding 2 steals. His scoring surge and timely defensive plays fueled the rally, showcasing his ability to step up when it mattered most and carry his team to victory.
