is looking to solidify himself as the top guard in the SEC. Through two games, he’s averaging 16.5 PPG. Brumby is a playmaking guard that scores effectively off the bounce. He can create his own shot and likes to get downhill. He pushes the pace in transition and creates gravity as a ball handler, which helps open up the floor for his teammates, who he finds often for scoring opportunities. Brumby is most effective changing directions on his way to the rim. He’s a physical guard that has the body to absorb contact. When not on the hardwood, Brumby is dominating on the football field. He was the defensive back in the SEC and a 1st team all-conference and all-region selection.

Termarion was Case’s tallest starter, but was also running the point for a majority of the game. I thought he impressed with his ability to beat his initial defender, get into the lane, and locate an open shooter as the defense began to collapse on him. For a while it seemed like just about every bucket Case scored was coming from Brumby in the form of an assist or a finish on his own. Has a variety of moves he can go to while attacking downhill, including a quick spin move that left a defender frozen in the second half of the game. Will be one of the top players in the SEC this season.

Brumby is having a nice senior season on the football field, but is also a name to know on the hardwood. Last year he was a 1st team all-conference selection after averaging 17.6 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 5.3 assists per game helping lead an inexperienced Case team to a 13-12 record. At 6’2 he has a powerful yet quick frame that allows him to blow by his man and play through contact on his way to the basket. One of those players who just has a nose for the rim and seems to find ways to get looks around the basket no matter what the defense throws at him.

. The 6’2″ junior guard has had an incredible year so far averaging 17.5 points, 6.9 rebounds, 5.5 assists, and 2.3 steals per game. His ability to impact the game on both ends of the floor is what I like most about him. He’s a gifted ball handler, but also knows how to lock in defensively. He excels as pick and roll ball handler, which will translate well at the college level. He’s patient and takes what the defense gives him. He’s shown the ability to knock down the three-point ball at a high percentage (42.3%) but shoots a low volume. Termarion is extremely strong attacking the hoop and is a solid finisher around the rim. I’m excited to watch him play for another year.

Now the focal point for an inexperienced Case team, Termarion has the constant focus of opposing defenses. Despite that, he still found success scoring the ball against a tough Franklin team. Now at 6’2, Termarion is a bit longer but still has that strong and physical frame that makes him so tough to stop around the basket. Has a few different ways to change directions when attacking the basket, and once there he does a great job of absorbing contact and hanging in the air to finish. You’ll notice he always keeps his chin pointed towards the rim, which allows him to finish through contact consistently. Plays with good pace and knows how to make the most out of screens to work his way into the paint. Finished with 22 points in the tough loss.

Playing alongside a loaded senior trio, Termarion was often the fourth option for Case last season. That’s going to change this year as Brumby has the chance to put up some impressive scoring numbers. He put up 8 ppg for a team that made it to the D1 state semi-finals, and with more touches I wouldn’t be surprised if that number at least doubles. Brumby is as tough as they come at the guard spot, with a strong frame that allows him to play through some contact on his way to the basket. If there’s a gap to the rim, you can bet that Termarion is going to drive through it and get to the rack. That toughness also translates to the glass as he averaged over 6 rebounds per game as a 6’1 guard. Defensively he’s someone you can trust to guard the opposing team’s top player and force them to take difficult shots. Excelled in that role as a scrappy defender for Wisconsin PGC over the spring/summer.
