This particular article highlights the young athletes who’ve emerged as early season stars and left spectators in awe from the Racine/Kenosha area. Let’s dive in!
As a junior last season, M.J. Stackhouse M.J. Stackhouse 6’7″ | PF Kenosha Indian Trail | 2024 State WI dominated the Southeast Conference going for 22.2 PPG, 9.1 RPG, and 2.4 APG. Stackhouse was named Player of the Year and earned an early offer from UW-Milwaukee. This season, Stackhouse is on a mission to win that award again as he’s averaging 24.3 points, 15.8 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 2.5 steals per game. He’s not messing around this year and is proving to teams all across the country that he has legitimate Division I potential. Mid-majors should express their interest. He’s a monster on the boards (4+ offensive rebounds per game), is a versatile scorer, floor spacer, and a high feel player. He can spot up for catch-and-shoot threes, create his own shot, and clean up misses with putbacks.
As a sophomore, Robinson earned 3rd team all-conference honors and is looking to improve upon that this season. The junior guard is out to blazing start putting up 16 points, 3.5 rebounds, 4.3 assists, and 6.5 steals per game through four games this season. His 6.5 steals per game rank 5th in the state. As a defender, he may be one of the better defensive players in the entire state. He’s a point of attack defender that can pick pockets and disrupt passing lanes. He’s one of the quicker players on the court which helps his scoring output as he’s able to turn the corner and attack mismatches (blitzes, drop coverage, and hedges) out of the pick-and-roll. He’s someone that Division II/III schools should monitor. If he improves as a scorer and shooter, he may have some low-majors express interest. The future is bright for Robinson. Racine Park is off to a 3-1 start.
Another key contributor for Racine Park is senior Willie Williams Willie Williams 6’0″ Racine Park | 2024 WI . Although he’s only played two games, Williams has made his impact felt. Williams is averaging 18.5 points on 67/67/53 shooting splits. He’s someone who should compete for all-conference honors and garner the attention of Division III in-state programs. Williams applies constant rim pressure. He can knockdown the occasional outside shot, but prefers to play off the bounce and attack the rim off the catch. He’s a scoring ball handler who has the ability to make a two-way impact. Jaxson Moss has also played well for Racine Park.
Another 1st team all-conference returner, Termarion Brumby Termarion Brumby 6’1″ | CG Racine Case | 2024 State WI is looking to solidify himself as the top guard in the SEC. Through two games, he’s averaging 16.5 PPG. Brumby is a playmaking guard that scores effectively off the bounce. He can create his own shot and likes to get downhill. He pushes the pace in transition and creates gravity as a ball handler, which helps open up the floor for his teammates, who he finds often for scoring opportunities. Brumby is most effective changing directions on his way to the rim. He’s a physical guard that has the body to absorb contact. When not on the hardwood, Brumby is dominating on the football field. He was the defensive back in the SEC and a 1st team all-conference and all-region selection.
Anthony Bull
Anthony Bull
Racine Case needed someone to step up this year and it looks like it’ll be junior Anthony Bull. Another two sport standout, Bull is a key part of Racine Case’s baseball team as well as playing club ball. He’s averaging 19.5 PPG in his first two games of the season. Last season, Bull showed us flashes of his talents and this year they are in full effect. He’s an off ball scorer that can knockdown the outside shot, occasionally get to the rim, and force defenders to collapse through his off the bounce scoring potential in the mid-range. He’s someone to monitor this season as we may potentially see an all-conference honor for him at the season’s close. Senior guard, Kaden Coppage Kaden Coppage 6’0″ | SG Racine Case | 2024 WI , is also providing the Eagles with some scoring. He’s averaging 11.5 PPG through two games.
