Phipps is an athletic and physical guard who played with energy and toughness. He handled pressure well, used his body to absorb contact on finishes and made plays at the rim. His effort on both ends and ability to spark his team kept them competitive. With strength, athleticism, and motor, Phipps has the tools to continue building his game but his work defensively is where I feel he shines brightest.
