Franz has been on the radar since his impressive summer play, and there’s plenty of excitement surrounding this season at Liberty. He’s a confident scorer who does a lot of his damage in the mid range, showing great touch, footwork and patience to get to his spots. He plays with a noticeable tenacity, competing on every possession and embracing physical play. That edge combined with his scoring ability, makes him a reliable option and a player who can swing momentum in big moments

Franz stood out with his ability to push in transition and finish tough shots around the rim. He got downhill and made quick decisions to keep the offense going. He flashed a confident mid-range pull-up at times, even with defenders draped on him, and stayed shot-ready in half-court action. He also scored from the deep ball as well. As the games progressed and we got into 5-on-5 action, he grew more comfortable, and that only led to him making more plays. We want him to stay in that attack as we project him to be a player that makes an impact this season based on what we saw at the event. 

Franz ended the summer with an impressive run with LOB Elite, where he consistently impacted the game on both ends of the floor. He used his size effectively to score inside and keep opponents off the glass, while his body control allowed him to get to his spots and convert efficiently. Offensively he thrived in the mid range game and showed he can be a real threat from beyond the arc. At the Expo, continuing to expand his perimeter game, showcase his ability to create off the dribble, and bring a strong defensive presence against elite competition could help elevate his profile even further

Franz is part of a cohesive Liberty group poised to make noise in his junior campaign. Franz is a confident, shot-ready guard. He finds scoring windows, competes on both ends, and embraces the dirty work. With a major offensive contributor gone, Franz will be relied on to elevate his game, rebound effectively, and produce in key moments. I expect him to do just that as he is a player with upside and has a point to prove this weekend. Excited to see how Liberty plays.

Franz brings good size and efficient shooting off the catch, showing capabilities as a wing scorer for this group. Effective off of kickouts, the guard has found repeated success in the last few months, gaining confidence versus incoming closeouts. 

Franz remains a crucial floor spacer for Liberty, comfortable against incoming contests. While retaining good size along the perimeter, the guard is a high motor athlete whose impact on the defensive glass cannot be overlooked. Liberty’s roster has made subtle strides in their skill development, allowing their key scorers to find a greater balance with guys like Franz or Trinidad. 

A capable three point shooter off the catch, Franz provided routine floor spacing for this L.O.B. Elite 2027 group. Bringing in good size in the backcourt, he is not fazed by incoming contests, adept under pressure. Not just a shooter, Franz facilitated a wide variety of baseline cutters, hitting them in right under the rim for easy looks. Defensively, he brings a bit more size and strength than most at his grad class. Often ripping away the ball from opponents by the rim, he brings strong hands to instigate opposing scorers. 

Franz took what the opposing defenses gave him, actively pressuring the rim with or without the ball. Routinely slipping into the lane from fast breaks or backdoor cuts, he constantly looked to put himself in scoring position for efficient looks. Along the perimeter, Franz took advantage of openings in the driving lane, attacking closeouts before opponents could gather their position. A threat to attack the lane with either hand, the 2027 guard will be yet another up and coming playmaker within Liberty’s young roster.
