Expert Analysis

Harriet was one of those players this summer who seemed to be involved in everything and I really enjoyed watching. You can tell that he works on his game and he’s a versatile combo guard that fills many gaps. Silas covers ground, runs the break the right way, attacks int he half court and also uses the pick to go and attack the defense. That gives him a chance to become the kind of player who can fit into a lot of different lineups as he develops. I think there’s still another level here, and it may take a year or two before we see exactly what it looks like. For now, I want to see him keep adding skill, tighten the handle and become even more consistent as a defender. He’s the kind of prospect I definitely want another look at because the versatility is already showing. He was an easy add to this watch list.

Silas was a game-changer as he played off of momentum all weekend. He’s a glue guy who impacted the game in various ways and seems to cover so much ground. He’s all over the place, just trying to make plays happen. He ran the break correctly and scored in transition, he attacked off the dribble in the half-court set, and he also hit a couple of and-1 baskets in the game that we saw from him at Mountain Range as well. Silas is a two-way player who battles on every possession, and it’s easy to keep those kinds of players on the floor.
