Lopez was really trending up all summer and looked like one of the future faces of the CHSAA before announcing the move to Eagle. 
He’s lightning quick, picks his spots, can shoot and defend. His decision making keeps improving, his confidence is growing, his shot selection has gotten better plus he loves to compete. This might be overkill but Lopez can take over the reigns of the offense and get everyone involved a she learns all the nuances of the offense. 

Lopez is another big name to leave the CHSAA. He was terrific during his two seasons at Mount and seemed poised to be one of the faces of the league. His new home is Eagle Academy Bronx who will now have one of the best back courts in the state. This addition gives Eagles another playmaker, ball handler, scoring option and more depth.

Lopez has put together two really strong seasons already for Mount and is ramping up for a massive Junior campaign. He has already earned a few Division 1 offers and interest but expect his recruitment to take off. His shot making keeps improving, he’s more connected on defense, he’s communicating more and holding his teammates accountable. The coaches at Mount fully trust their floor general to keep this offense humming and if their core can keep growing expect Lopez to be on All CHSAA watch.

Very good in pick and rolls sets. Very quick pg who gets into the lane and creates scoring chances for everyone. Very good on the ball defender. Has a nice pull up jumper off the bounce.

Shane averaged 10.3 ppg He is excellent moving without the ball finding open spots. Excellent court vision. He possesses the quickness to get into the lane and create scoring chances for teammates as well as himself. He impressed me with the way he was able to orchestrate the pick and roll. Everyone thinks pick and roll is so easy but he seems to do it where you don’t really know what he’s doing with ball. So a lot of times defenders were flat footed and either going to him and leaving the roller or both dropping off.

He has played a lot of games and still a sophomore. So entering next year as a 3rd year varsity starter he does not lack experience or confidence. Very savvy ability to get into the lane with quickness creating scoring options for his teammates. Shoots it really well. Really good in pick and roll sets knowing when to pass it or take it off the dribble. Solid on the ball defender.

He’s a crafty and quick point guard who is decisive as both a playmaker and a scorer. He shot it well from deep off the dribble and played with confidence throughout. He uses his speed and quickness to get downhill and consistently puts pressure on the defense.

Shane is a true pg. He has blow by ability. He gets two feet in the lane and finds the open man. Real nice pull up jumper. Active defensively gets his hands in for steals and deflections. Moves really well without the ball. Finds opens areas to shoot it . Saw him go coast to coast ending with a running floater.

Really good on the ball defender uses his hands and feet to get steals and deflections. A true PG. Excellent court vision and awareness. Has blow by ability and can get to his spot easily to get up a real nice pull up jumper. Can also get into the label and find teammates for easier buckets.

Possesses blow by speed. A true pg with a scorers mentality. Has shown the ability to get into the paint and find teammates for easier buckets. He is also really good at getting by his defender and rising up with a potent pull up jumper. Really good on the ball defender. Gets his hands in for defections and steals.
