One of the top three point shooters in the city. He averaged over three 3’s last season. Shoots it really well but is also a very good distributor of the ball with really good size. Great court vision and awareness. A talented stat stuffer.

King continues to have a strong Summer, coming right out of MHC play and looking like the primary scoring option for an Eagle Bronx team that will again challenge for the PSAL crown this season. It will be on senior guard, who enters his 4th year of varsity play, to lead his team through Smartball and into his final year as a whole.

King made one of the biggest jumps in the rankings, climbing from 49 to 15. King is one of the best shooters in the city, with the ability to score efficiently both from the catch and off the dribble. He puts the ball on the floor well, getting downhill and converting multiple floaters with touch. A lot of his impact goes unnoticed, but when that first shot drops, it’s going to be a long day for opponents.

He hit a catch and shot three from the left wing off an inbound pass and showed strong transition defense by stopping the break. He made a solid help side block on the big man and forced a turnover with his on ball pressure. He turned down a three for a smooth pull up jumper, then later connected on a right corner three to give his team the lead heading into overtime.

He started the game against Wings hot, connecting on a left-wing three off the catch, followed by a catch-and-shoot three from the right wing. He recorded a steal that led to an pinpoint pass from Gio as he finished in the paint and later hit a three from the top of the key.

He has been one of the most impressive shooters I’ve seen in New York City, consistently scoring from the perimeter. His confidence translates directly into his shooting, and with a high, quick release, he needs only a split second to get his shot off.

A key scorer for the Eagles throughout a breakout sophomore year, King was uncharacteristically quiet throughout the game but stepped up when it mattered most in the decisive fourth quarter. The wing guard would score 8 of his 11 points in the final frame, knocking down a pair of 3s and getting to the line for a pair of free throws. King shoots a pretty ball off the catch with some skill and athleticism attacking off the bounce. There looks to be some interesting upside to tap into as he grows into his lengthy frame.
