Brigham had a dominant year out in western MA for powerhouse Pope Francis, and though he might’ve played a slightly lower level of competition throughout the season, his performances in the tournament are enough to cement his spot on my first team. The 6-foot-3 guard is a three-level scorer who has phenomenal athleticism and skill. He has no offensive weakness and consistently overpowered defenders all season long, but he can use finesse to outsmart defenders as well. Brigham ends his high school career with over 2k points, but he’ll do a post-grad year somewhere next season and reclass to 2027.

Brigham, a senior out of Pope Francis, proved to be, arguably, the top player in all of western Massachusetts while guiding his team to an 18-3 record in the regular season. The Naismith Western Massachusetts Player of the Year, Brigham finished his career as the 2nd all-time leading scorer in western Massachusetts history with 2,107 career points after averaging 23.8 points per game this winter. At 6’3″, he’s a bigger guard that was able to get his shot off over most defenders, showing particular skill in the mid-range. He was really good in catch and shoot situations behind the arc and also showed the ability to finish plays through contact around the rim. A heady defender, he knew how to create turnovers off the ball and was excellent when finishing plays in transition.

Brigham might’ve been the best player in MIAA D3 this year, and he certainly didn’t disappoint in the semifinals against Masco. The senior guard doesn’t seem like he should be able to get to wherever he wants on the floor, but he does—he has a low center of gravity and finds his way around the defense, and then he has the ability to make some acrobatic finishes in the lane. Brigham can hit shots from three, too, and he has good passing vision. A post-grad year, which I think he’ll do, would be really helpful for his development.

Brigham is the best player in division 2 in my opinion. The 6-foot guard is slightly built, but he has a phenomenal skillset and feel for the game, so he gets into the paint at will and finishes better than most guards his size. He has special footwork, balance and craft, and he has a knack for taking contact and finishing through it. Brigham is electric with the ball in his hands and could bring Pope Francis a LONG way this March.

Brigham, out of Pope Francis High School in Massachusetts, checks in at #23 among the shooting guards and #114 overall. Brigham was highlighted earlier this week as one of the MIAA’s best and it’s easy to see why. The big guard can operate as a primary ball-handler or off-ball scorer, showing a good feel for playing at different speeds with the ball in his hands. He’s a tough shot maker in the mid-range and does a nice job of finishing in a variety of ways around the rim. His combination of positional size and basketball IQ allows him to guard any spot on the perimeter. He’s a scholarship level prospect that could also shine at the Division III level if he chooses that route.

Brigham, a senior guard out of Pope Francis High School, has been on a roll so far this winter, averaging over 21 points per game through five outings. He has a single game high of 27 points and hasn’t scored less than 18 in a game this season. Brigham is a big guard that does a great job of scoring around the rim, showing toughness and creativity as a finisher. He’s able to score in the mid-range and from behind the arc and shows an understanding of how to get to his scoring spots both as a ball-handler and off ball mover. He’s arguably the top scorer in Western Massachusetts this year.

Really liked Brigham’s confidence he played with throughout the game. He does a nice job moving on the offensive end and looks to hunt his shot frequently. He finished with 5 threes and a game high 29 points. He made several trips to the charity stripe. He is a sneaky athlete who showed he could play around the rim. He moves the ball and had several assists. Brigham can play on or off the basketball. He would be a nice pickup at the small college level or on a prep school roster.

Brigham is one of the more electric combo guards in the entire MIAA. He isn’t too well known around the state (perhaps because he plays in Springfield), but he’ll be one of the higher scoring guards in division 2 this season. The 6-foot-3 senior scores in a variety of ways; he’s quite athletic on drives to the rim and is able to finish with both hands at the hoop, but he also shoots it well from the mid range and three. He’s an excellent athlete, which allows him to excel in transition and with a head of steam. He could average over 20 per game this year and should get tons of D3 looks.

Checking in at #164 overall and #34 among the shooting guards, Brigham is one of the better off-ball scorers in the MIAA. At 6’3″, he has good size for the position, is a fluid mover, and knows how to create his own shots in isolation situations. He’s in constant movement without the basketball, while also showing the ability to attack closeouts and finish at the rim with some creativity. He can really shoot it, has good feel as a decision maker, and doesn’t cause the ball to stick offensively. AIC offered this summer and they might not be the last to pull the trigger, either way, he’ll play competitive college basketball starting next fall.

I was ridiculously impressed by not only Brigham’s ability, but his willingness to take contact. He probably ended up on the floor about 8 times during the half that I watched him, and each of them were legitimate foul calls that he got free throws for; The 6-foot-3 guard is skinny in stature but seeks the bodies of big men in the lane and uses his athleticism to get to the line constantly. He has mastered the art of foul-drawing, something very few high school players have. He’s also a talented outside shooter who can handle it to get to his spots on the floor. Should be a D3 college player somewhere.
