Roan Koeper
About Roan
Expert Analysis
Max Wagner | Prep Hoops Scout
At 6’9 Roan’s potential is clear to see. But what puts him over the edge is his coordination and how well he moves at that size. We’re already seeing some skill start to emerge with his comfort handling the ball, as at times he was playing a point-forward role for his team. Showcased improved footwork out of the post from a year ago including a quick spin move into a right-handed hook shot in the lane. His combination of size, mobility, and touch around the basket make him one to keep a close eye on in the 2026 class.

will be playing for the reigning state champs Neenah. Nothing flashy about his game, Roan just goes out and produces. Obviously the size is there, but he has good hands to catch the ball in traffic, and he was keeping the ball high where opposing players couldn’t reach it before finishing at the rim. He showcased good touch to finish off the backboard, and even if he did miss Roan was relentless trying to fight for the rebound. Thought he did a good job of setting hard screens that made it difficult for defenders to get over, and he showed good coordination catching and finishing all on the move. Defensively did a nice job of not swinging his arms much when looking to block shots, which allowed him to minimize the amount of fouls he picked up. Does a nice job of going straight up to get a piece of the ball while also forcing countless bad shot attempts in the process.
