Palmer was very aggressive over the weekend, and this was the most that we saw from him in the sense of hunting shots and wanting to score, which paid off for him. Prolific Elite needed some outside shooting, and he provided that as he created for himself off the dribble, moved without the ball, and also showed his range. He also put the ball on the floor and went to the basket at times as well. Palmer found holes in the defense. I like the change that he provides for Prolific as they play with a certain tenacity and edge, and he matches that with his Overland background. He’s picking up high on defense, communicating on switches, and showcasing that he could defend multiple positions as well. He’s a two-way option with range, and that was on display in multiple games this weekend. He should be on college radars with what we saw from him this week.
Bass is a pure floor-spacer and flamethrower from deep who gives Overland a scoring dimension they don’t get anywhere else. He cuts, relocates, and creates gravity for their guards. When he hunts shots, he’s at his best as he’s capable of flipping a game with a quick run. This is the year the ball should find him more, and I’m curious to see him with a greener light.
Bass made a major impact as an integral piece of his team’s success. His ability to change the momentum of a game with his three point shooting is a real weapon. He has the ability to heat up fast and can quickly erase deficits and stretch the defense. He complements that with aggressive drives to the rim, where he finishes with toughness and purpose. On the defensive end he sets the tone with his effort, staying tight on his matchup and making every possession difficult. Bass brings energy and impact on both sides of the floor, the type of player who can swing a game
Bass made his mark as a reliable floor spacer and defensive spark for Overland this past season. Coming off the bench, he consistently got his shot off and knocked down deep looks. He’s a consistent shooter that brings good size and energy, playing with toughness every possession. He created turnovers, slowed scorers down, and gave Overland valuable minutes. He’s a specialist with upside and definitely a player to keep an eye on and that is why he will land onto our rankings.
