McNeal is pound-for-pound one of the best athletes in the entire state, and this year he showed there’s a bit more to his game than just his leaping ability. McNeal put up 13.5 points a game as the ball was in his hands. He stepped up offensively when Overland was missing their leading scorer and became the guy who led them to a few victories and impacted the game in various ways. The 5’10 guard got out and was electric in the open court. He scored from 3-point range as well as mid-range pull-ups and attacked the rim and dished it off to open teammates. He’s a player who feel can certainly play at the next level and should have juco’s knocking on his door as he can help a team.

McNeal has worked on his vertical relentlessly over the last few years, and it’s safe to say it’s paid off for him. Where his impact is felt the most is on defense, turning transition steals into emphatic dunks, making home games feel that much more alive. Surrounded by elite caliber hoops such as Demetrius Lambert, McNeal is surrounded by guys who want to compete. McNeal should give Overland a massive boost of confidence going into the 2026 half of the season.

McNeal is one of the state’s best pure athletes and plays much bigger than his frame. There are highlight plays aplenty. He competes with anyone, scores at all three levels, and turns pluck steals into transition dunks. We want to see him take the next step as a playmaker and lead guard, but also as a defensive tone-setter. His energy, defense, and ability to score in bunches give him real spark-plug value, but he will have to be the guy for this season. He should certainly be on the radar as a player to watch in the Centennial League. 

McNeal has to have the highest vert in the entire state. For a player of his size, it still takes some getting used to when you see him get out on a fast break and soar to the rim, daring opponents to go up with him. He had some explosive games this summer where he led his team to wins. He finishes well around the rim, plays on the bounce, and cannot be contained when he’s in the open floor, and also stepped out and shot the 3-ball well. He’s got that dog in him where he refuses to let guards go at him, he finds open teammates, and is a fierce competitor that only that Overland squad brings out of you. He’s a player that we made sure to watch if he was at an event, and we think he’s going to blow up this senior season on a team that should turn some heads. This was an easy jump for us. 

McNeal is a downhill blur with crazy bounce. For a player that’s listed at 5’8, the kid flies in transition, finishes with flair, and brings energy every time he touches the ball. Mekhi had countless finger rolls, putback dunks, and fast-break slams. He’s a fearless point guard who scores in bunches by getting downhill but also hit the 3-ball as well. He also has the feel to get teammates involved. Easily one of the most athletic guards and entertaining prospects at the event, and I am excited to see how that translates for Overland this upcoming season.

McNeal was your classic shooting guard this past weekend — smooth, confident, and just everywhere on the court. He had the green light and made the most of it, knocking down shots from all three levels with ease. Whether it was a pull-up, a corner three, or a tough finish at the rim, he made it look natural. What really stood out, though, was his feel for the game. His instincts were on point and McNeal never forced anything, just made the right reads and took smart shots. You saw that he knew exactly when to shoot, when to pass, and where to be. Just a really composed, high-IQ performance that gave his team a big boost
