A new hair cut, some added muscle, he looked a little bit more like Quinton Hooker out there than I would ever thought (not the same of course but did some similar things). When it came to confident scorers on the floor, Owen was the guy that stepped forward for the Rebels, with the perimeter shot, the attacking scores, and the physical approach to going at his defender. Owen will have the time to be a scorer for the Rebels when Moussa and Gavin are moving it, and he will be the guy bringing it up at times too. There is going to be a lot of options for this Rebel coaching staff this year and Owen is one that will take advantage.

Why should you recruit Owen? Owen is a quick, aggressive, and well paced player that mixes his delivery with high percentage scoring chances for his team. Led Osseo in scoring last year and helped Gain Elite to a much better year than expected. His team play well with Owen leading.

Counce is now at Champlin Park and looking to do with the Rebels what he did with Gain Elite … raise a talented team higher than the expectations. It’s once again a Counce team that was expected to be good that hopes to be great. Counce will once again have some size, some shooters, and some scorers around him and like he did for Gain Elite , and Counce looks to balance it all together for wins as a top five team.

We are in a time where college basketball coaches want versatile lead guards that defend, that distribute, run a team, lead, and score at a high percentage when needed. In other words, teams want matured all around players. Some might be more explosive scorers than Owen but he can shoot it, he can attack, and Owen can score. But as we have seen with Osseo and Gain Elite , Owen can put teammates in place to do what his needed at a high level too. Players follow him, and Gain Elite followed him to success.

Owen Counce Owen Counce 5'11" | PG Champlin Park | 2027 State MN – The 2027 Osseo guard playing with Gain Elite P32 put together some good scoring and assist numbers this weekend. Facing DC Assault, Counce went for 19 points and 8 assists, versus Hoiuston Defenders 19 points and 6 assists, and 25 points and 5 assists against Team Breakdown. Counce showed during the varsity season at Osseo he could play with another lead ball handler like with Gain Elite , able to score with perimeter jump shots and make passes that lead to baskets.

Owen has had a great spring and summer with Gain Elite and that continued this past weekend. The incoming senior guard has always been known as an elite shooter, but his overall game continues to evolve. I’ve liked him as a true point guard, being able to conduct an offense and get everyone involved, as his vision and passing were on full display. Counce is still a dynamic scorer, being able to catch fire from the perimeter quickly.
