Fields is the engine that makes Horizon go and the kind of facilitator every team wants. While he’s fully capable of putting up big, flashy numbers, his greatest strength is how smartly he operates the offense with a high basketball IQ. He sees the floor exceptionally well, delivers crisp, timely passes and consistently puts his teammates in position to succeed. His vision allows him to create for himself when needed while always keeping the team first, making him the steady presence and decision maker that drives Horizon’s success

Fields is a pass-first guard that can be a bit more of an offensive weapon for Horizon this upcoming season if he chooses. With the size that Horizon has, Fields should have plenty of scoring lanes and opportunities to become more of known commodity around the state. He’s a tough player who defends well, pushes the tempo offensively and also can knock down the open 3. He’s a smooth and crafty lefty that gets to where he wants on the floor and gets into the paint and also is a great distributor. A big showing at the showcase can skyrocket his stock as I believe Horizon will be a team to watch this year with the players around him.

Fields brought some serious energy all weekend, and it was contagious. You saw that his team fed off it and every time he stepped on the floor, the intensity picked up. He was that spark they needed, and he kept them locked in and ready to go. Offensively, he was straight up dominant. He was scoring from everywhere whether it was pull-ups, deep threes, or tough finishes at the rim he was hitting it. He played downhill the entire weekend, constantly putting pressure on the defense. Fields was a standout on the defensive end too. His footwork was sharp, his hands were active, and he stayed locked in the whole time. He made things tough for whoever he was guarding and just wore guys down. All around, he was one of those players that just left a mark on every game he was in

Fields showed flashes last season with Horizon, bringing confidence as a floor spacer behind the arc. Particularly off the catch is where he had success, although he could attack the open lane, making the right decision in open space. He is a competitive point of attack defender, actively getting into his opponent’s space to create rushed decisions.
