Among the more athletic and high-motor prospects we saw all weekend, James impressed with both his physical tools and team-first approach. He set the tone for his team with his aggressive two-way play, really embracing physicality while showing a persistent nose for the ball. James’ strength, quickness, and leaping ability make him a versatile defender with the instincts and twitchiness to make plays as a rim protector even at his size. Offensively, he’s a strong finisher who shows some control to his ball skills in both the open floor and halfcourt setting. James may not have a clear position but scholarship-level programs should see value in what he brings, particularly if he shows the ability to space the floor as a shooter.

Liked the versatility he was able to bring when he was on the floor. Scored the basketball in many different ways and is tough to gameplan for since there is so many ways he can impact the game. Was in good spots to rebound and used his length to secure them. He is a threat as a slasher and had no issues finding contact and getting to the foul line.
