Damir Arp
About Damir
Expert Analysis
Ari Rosenfeld | Prep Hoops Scout
After starring as a freshman at nearby Bishop McDevitt, Arp has had no problem hitting the ground running at Harrisburg. A well-built jumbo guard, he’s a dynamic playmaker off the bounce with a shifty handle to create space and the ability to convert tough shots from all over the floor. He shows flashes of advanced vision as a passer and is willing to mix it up defensively and on the glass as well. Also a standout on the football field, Arp’s talent presents upside for the D1 level if he decides to focus fulltime on hoops.

Arp is as smooth a scorer that you’ll find in Central Pennsylvania, let alone the rest of the state. After a nice freshman campaign at Bishop McDevitt, Damir transferred to Harrisburg where he’ll be asked to do a lot more. That bodes well for the Cougars and the talented young guard who has been working hard in the off-season while impressing over the summer. He’s quick with the ball and gets to the basket in a blur. His shooting stroke is pure and will only continue to become more consistent. The future is bright for Harrisburg with Damir at the helm.
