Jones, a guard out of the Hotchkiss School in Connecticut, appears on the Watch List for the second time in this update. Jones, who will definitely make his way into the rankings in the next update, has as clean of a jumper as I’ve seen from a prospect in this class. While he’s got a bit of a reputation for his shot making, the big guard impresses with his ability to make plays off the bounce, his floor vision in transition, and his willingness to make quick passes within the flow of the offense. Defensively, he has enough strength to guard up a position and the lateral quickness to guard down a spot, meaning he can guard any of the three perimeter positions.
