Fauver can change a game with his ability to score the basketball and has the chance to do just that this winter for Hotchkiss. A big guard, he does a nice job of using his size to his advantage and is able to get his shot off against almost any defender. He has great length and uses it to his advantage as a finisher around the rim. Right now, he’s at his best in catch and shoot situations, shining as a floor spacer in the half-court. He’s a good ball mover, can put the ball on the floor for multiple bounces, and does a nice job of scoring in the mid-range. He’ll need to get stronger, but plays with a high basketball IQ and good feel for the game.

Fauver, who will play his prep ball at the Hotchkiss School, is a long and lean scoring wing with great positional size. All of 6’4″, and pushing 6’5″, Fauver already has an advanced feel for the game as a scorer. He has an unorthodox release on his jumper, but knocks them down with consistency. He’s comfortable scoring out of the mid-range and is a crafty finisher around the rim. Like most young prospects, he’ll need to fill out his frame and get stronger, but that should come with age and strength program. He’s an instinctive passer that does a good job of keeping his eyes up in transition. He has some tools defensively, given his length and ability to move laterally. He’ll be a fun prospect to track over the coming years and has shows definite signs of a long-term high ceiling.

is a shooting guard still growing into his body and is in the early stages of development. The early flashes he has shown are extremely enticing, especially from a shooting perspective. Fauver can shoot off the dribble and take tough shots from the perimeter with unorthodox right-handed mechanics. He can come off screens or relocate to find open shots off the ball and knock down from long range off the catch. Fauver looks comfortable running the floor in transition and has potential as a defender with good length and anticipation skills for creating turnovers. While not a finished product, he looks like he should be in for massive improvement and should be a high-upside proposition that programs and coaches should track over the coming years.
