-Washington has been such a dynamic force for the Cavaliers this season, often taking on the challenge of guarding Embeya at one end of the floor while leading the fast break as a scorer and decision-maker for the Cavaliers in the win. His 4 offensive rebounds extended possessions for the Cavaliers in a back-and-forth game that saw a flurry of lead changes. His ability to guard 2-5 while scoring against a variety of defenders has proven invaluable this season for the Cavaliers, with Washington leading the Cavaliers to both the MIAA and BCL Playoffs.

-I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again- I don’t believe there is a player that is more valuable to what his team does than Washington is for this Spalding team and you can see it in the stat lines. Serving as the team’s best rebounder, interior scorer, transition bucket, and creator off the bounce- Washington plays insanely hard at both ends of the floor and displays a level of feel that isn’t typical for a 2-sport athlete. His energy on both ends of the floor sets the tone for his teammates and he is seemingly never intimidated by anyone that lines up across from him. If he wasn’t already slotted as one of the best dual threat quarterback prospects in the nation, I would feel very comfortable projecting him as a do-it-all HM wing prospect.

, the dual sport captain is their best rebounder, scorer, and finisher around the basket. The junior wing finished with 16p 9r 7a 5s 1b while shooting 50% from the field. His ability to anticipate passes and jump the lane before the ball has crossed halfcourt sparked Spalding’s run in the 4Q. The ability for your best rebounder to go from rim to rim, weaving around defenders before scoring at the rim is such a valuable asset for a Spalding team that sometimes struggles to score in the half court. His intangibles as a leader and motivator on the court and from the bench remain invaluable to this young squad.
