-Probably the most efficient and balanced offensive performance that I’ve seen from the Army commit as he got off to a hot start and never turned back. Moultrie got things going with a face cut from the top of the key to collect a pass and hit the layup, attacked a long closeout from the corner to take 1 dribble in and hit the pull-up, finished through contact at the rim, kicked it ahead to his bigs in transition, and knocked down 4 of his 7 attempts from beyond the arc to maintain a comfortable Spalding lead for the majority of the game. His team will face the #1 seed in St Frances tonight.

Moultrie comes into his senior campaign expected to be one of the leaders for a Spalding team that boasts a roster capable of making a run at both the BCL and MIAA crowns. The 6-foot-3 strong-framed guard is garnering interest from various levels thanks to his effectiveness on the ball getting downhill and attacking the rim. He spent much of his summer as an initiator, but should have more of a balanced approach offensively getting back into the groove with his scholastic team. Moultrie’s two-way impact will be key not only in furthering his recruitment, but also the overall success of his team.

-Moultrie overcame a scoreless first half and some offensive struggles to bounce back nicely to finish just two rebounds shy of a double-double from the guard spot. Love the way that he found ways to impact the game as a defender and rebounder when the shot wasn’t falling in the 1H to help keep the game close for his team. Finished with an and-1 lay through contact and had a steal leading to a huge 3 from above the break to make it a 2-possession game late in the game for his team. Moultrie is letting the game to him more during this crucial summer leading into his senior season, understanding that the ball will swing back to him if he makes the extra pass on the perimeter. With his physical style of play, work ethic, and expanding perimeter skill– I expect Moultrie to turn the D1 interest that he has into offers when college coaches come to see him this fall.

‘s ability to attack the rim has been up there with the best in the summer league. He has a strong frame and does a great job finishing through bodies. He has good size and has nice vision. He is effective on the glass, and although he doesn’t take many, he can knock down threes. TJ had a great all-around game today in Spalding’s win over SSSAS. He had 17 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists.

does an outstanding job attacking the rim, and he dominates a game with his penetration. TJ is quick and a great athlete with nice size, and he can finish through bigs well. He is a good passer, and I love the way he competes on both ends. He can play either guard position, and he was one of the more eye-popping guards on the day. He finished with 16 points and 5 assists in an Archbishop Spalding win.

Moultrie impressed getting to different spots on the attack. He can play on or off the basketball. Moultrie is a frequent paint toucher he has a nose for finding the interior. He chips in easy buckets from the foul line. Moultrie also gets others involved in the flow of the offense with his passing. He finds ways to get rebounds. I would like to see Moultrie look to score from behind the arc more. He is a prospect who division two’s need to prioritize.

Solid is the first word that comes to mind when describing TJ’s game. He can get it done offensively from all three levels on the floor. His strong frame helps him brace contact and finish tough layups in the paint. He doesn’t have to force his offense with the way Spalding shares the wealth, so he fills in as a go-to option when the offense stunts. He creates well off the dribble and sees the floor well to find his open teammates once deep in the lane. Good jump-shooter that likes the midrange look, where he is very efficient shooting. Moultrie is a great defender, doesn’t fall for baits and stays solid when defending the ball. Forces turnovers and creates opportunities for a dominant Spalding squad to this point.

Moultrie thrived on the attack and showed that he could get downhill with ease. He finished inside and was able to get to the foul line. Moultrie is always a mainstay in the scoring column for his team.

-Continue to come away impressed with Moultrie’s maturity on the ball, turning down rushed shots on the perimeter or forced shots in the paint to pivot around and find a better scoring opportunity. Moultrie hit a lay in transition to get himself going, scored a floater off glass through the contact (converting the ensuing FT), had a great drive down the middle and dump to the big to stop the bleeding for his team during a scoring drought, grabbed a rebound late and went coast to coast for the easy deuce, and knifed through the defense just under a minute left to finish with the inside hand reverse lay off glass to put Spalding back up for good. The defensive rebounding to close out possessions for his team was huge in the win over a scrappy FCS team
