-Continue to come away impressed with Brown’s play as a crafty guard that effectively gets to his spots in the halfcourt with or without a ball screen. He scored off of pull-ups in the paint, froze a helping big at the rim with an up fake before hitting him with a spin move and left-handed layup off the glass, hit euro step layups in transition to use the rim to deter bigs from blocking his shot, and did a good job of locating shooters

-Our scouts have come away impressed with Brown’s feel and control over the flow of the game in our viewings so far this season. Brown plays with great pace, sees the floor well, and is scoring at a more consistent clip this season. His feel for where the ball is coming off the rim allows him to come up with some pesky offensive boards to extend possessions for his team, and his positional IQ at the defensive end of the floor sees him usually cutting off his matchup’s angles to the rim to force dribble pick-ups and TOs. Local D1s should be all over this prospect.

Brown continues to string together his strong start to his sophomore campaign as Good Counsel ended their 2025 calendar year with a bracket championship after earning wins against Montverde CBD and Haverford. Brown was key in the first game to a tune of 20 points on 8-of-15 shooting from the floor, hauling in 4 rebounds and assisting on a couple of buckets. There’s no question in his ability or confidence in creating opportunities for himself whether it comes in isolations or out of ball screens. Brown has a quick first step that allows him to establish advantages in gaps, can attack with either hand and continues to prove himself as a pull-up threat if the weakside rotations from the defense are sharp.

Kyle had a very steady DMV Live performance, producing each and every game. More time and shots are starting to find Kyle as he is almost forced to step up into a main role for the team at guard. He had no problems getting what he wanted offensively, making a number of timely baskets for Good Counsel when they needed. Only had one game scoring under 10 points, truly leaving an impact with the freedom to go. Great rebounder for a guard, pulling in a consistent amount each game averaging over four a contest. Still kept his natural point guard instincts, shooting what came to him while keeping the ball and players moving. Kyle had a very impressive stint to begin his Live session portion of summer.

-Did an admirable job scoring and distributing despite seeing two defenders for most of the night. Should’ve finished with at least 3 more assists as his teammates missed a few bunnies around the rim— but I really liked his processing and decision-making throughout the night. Logan scored off of blow-by layups, spin move faders in the mid post, one dribble pull-ups off the catch, and got to the FT line. Love the pace and poise that he plays with as a young guard that is really hard to speed up and even more difficult to turn over.

-Brown seems to be hiding in plain sight his first season with OLGC and the Warriors as he carves out a role with both as a heady point guard that understands how to use changes in dribble cadence to break down his matchup. Brown has the ball on a string and has a nice scoring package from the top of the key and in, getting to his pull-up jumper or floater in the ease from either side of the key. Love the balance and consistent mechanics on his jumper–even in those pull-up situations– as he usually stays on balance even when fading one direction or the other. Defensively he is able to navigate ball screens and usually makes the right choice to fight over or go under ball screens to frustrate his opponent.

-Thought that Brown gave OLGC some good minutes off the bench to help put the game away in the 2H as a shifty guard that was successful bending the defense throughout the evening. Brown uses a great change of pace to throw his defender off the timing on their stunts to keep the path largely clear in front of him on his drives to the rim. An advanced handle allows him to see the floor well off the bounce and he did a great job of taking his matchup off the dribble to create easy baskets for his teammates. One of the more advanced offensive guards in the rising sophomore class in the DMV.

Even at his size, Brown can lead and present problems for opponents. He is a quick, crafty guard who displays shifty hands and creates well off the bounce. Brown showed his willingness to knock down shots from outside but did a great job in getting by defenders with a quick first step, weaving through the defense, and scoring with touch over and around defenders in the Team Thrill game.

was elite for Good Counsel in their win over Woodson. Kyle is a terrific ball handler and is an advanced decision-maker for someone who just finished their Freshman year. Kyle is a good shooter who can run an offense. When he gets bigger, he will be one of the better guards in the DMV. Kyle had 26 points.
