Grand Park Premier 17u built a lead early thanks to some aggressive and athletic drives to the basket by Martin. Then, when they needed to come back later in the game, it was Martin who rattled off a flurry of buckets capped off by a pull-up three-point shot. Martin, a rising senior at Liberty Christian, had his explosiveness on full display throughout the game and finished with 16 points in yet another impressive victory for GPP 17u.

Martin’s explosiveness and quickness were on full display in an impressive performance against Austin High School on Saturday. The 6’2″ guard was excellent as a driver, flashed his athleticism as a driver and finisher inside, and rebounded well from the perimeter. He went on to score 25 points and looked like a legitimate scholarship-level guard. Definitely one for coaches to continue to watch this summer.

Kendrick Martin Kendrick Martin 6'2" | PG/SG Liberty Christian | 2027 State IN consistently embraced physical basketball throughout the event. The guard defended aggressively and never hesitated to mix things up on the perimeter. His toughness immediately jumped off the floor every game he played. Martin competed hard defensively and constantly pressured opposing guards. Offensively, he stayed disciplined and contributed within the flow of the game. He also brought a level of confidence and fearlessness that energized his team. Competitive guards like Martin always leave an impression.

Arguably one of the toughest omissions from the Indiana Junior All-Star Team, Martin absolutely had an outstanding season for Liberty Christian who was one of the best Class 1A teams in Indiana. The explosive 6’2″ guard led the Lions to a third straight Regional Championship while averaging 17.8 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 2.1 steals per game.

Martin controlled the game from start to finish on Tuesday night as Liberty Christian beat University 69-65. The athletic, explosive guard came out of the gate hot scoring eight points in the first quarter and then started dishing it off in the second quarter collecting four assists. He went on to lead all scorers in the game with 31 points to go along with 4 rebounds, 5 assists, and 3 steals. It was an incredibly impressive all-around performance.

Liberty Christian has moved themselves back up to #2 in the Class 1A Prep Hoops Top 10. They have won four straight and eight of their last nine games. Also, all four of their losses are against Class 4A programs. Martin, a 6’2″ junior guard, averages a team-leading 17.0 points per game to go along with 4.1 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 2.4 steals. We will likely watch the Lions play on February 3rd against University.
