Prep Hoops Indiana: The Expo – Team 3 Evaluations

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>All of our events at Prep Hoops Indiana generate a lot of attention across the state. However, the growth of The Expo is a major point of pride for our team as we wrap up the summer. This year we doubled the size of the event bringing in nearly 120 prospects in the Classes of 2027 and 2028. Also, more than just the raw numbers, the level of talent was very impressive. We hosted over 40 Top 100 prospects today and had college coaches from the Division II, Division III, and NAIA levels in attendance. This was truly one of the best exposure events of the year that you could attend as a prospect.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>As always, we will be unleashing a ton of content over the next week or so coming out of The Expo. We will have evaluations of every player in attendance post on a team-by-team basis. Also, top performers, new names, and more will be highlighted. Kelley might not have the statewide attention of some of the seniors, but the 6'1" junior guard helped make a name for himself at our event. He was excellent as a right hand driver, off-ball slasher, and had success using his athleticism to crash the offensive glass. Here is what we had to say about the physical wing...</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>One of the more physical wings at Prep Hoops Indiana: The Expo, Moore had a lot of success attacking the basket off of the bounce both in the half court and in transition. His strength allows him to play through contact and finish at a high percentage at the rim. Moore had announced that he would transfer to Leo for his junior season, but ultimately decided to remain at Bishop Luers. The Knights should once again be a tough team to beat in the Fort Wayne area. This 6'3" versatile wing will be a big part of their success. Now, as a senior, he will look to get them one step further to Gainbridge Fieldhouse. He is one of the top unsigned point guards in Indiana's Class of 2027 with impressive explosiveness end-to-end, some strength as a finisher, and has shown himself to be a willing passer. The 6'4" left-handed guard shoots it at a high-level from beyond the arc, creates his own looks in the mid-range, and has the athleticism to finish up around the rim at the end of his drives. He had an excellent summer with  <a href="https://prephoops.com/program/marlin-academy/"><strong>[program_tooltip program_id='2559412' first='Marlin' last='Academy']</strong></a> following his breakout junior season at Batesville High School. Here is what we had to say about the under-the-radar prospect who could average a double-double this season...</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>One of our favorite under-the-radar prospects from this summer has been this 6'6" forward from North Posey High School. Compton averaged just shy of a double-double as a junior and is poised for a big senior season. He is a fluid athlete, very comfortable finishing around the rim, and has some bounciness that really helps him defensively and on the glass. Small college programs should absolutely be evaluating him heading into his senior season. That should be the case again this season thanks to solid, under-the-radar players like this 5'10" guard. Goodwin is a talented shot-maker from the perimeter, but also continues to prove himself as a reliable distributor and playmaker on the ball. He really tore it up during three-on-three play making some tough shots from the perimeter off of the bounce. The 6'0" guard emerged as one of the top three-point shooters as a junior at Zionsville High School and is poised for a big senior year. One of his highlights during five-on-five play included a drive and tough reverse layup finish. The 5'8" guard never is afraid to attack his man one-on-one and go play amongst the trees in the paint. Not only is he able to finish in a variety of ways, but he also makes good plays as a passer as he attacks. Coming from Fishers High School you know he will have been coached and tested in practice every day. He is still a bit raw, but he shows flashes as an interior finisher, rebounder, and rim protector.
