Gehringer is another player we saw a few times as of late and he’s growing on us. He has a few habits and a skillset that should age well. He’s a defense-first guy and that will certainly separate you from the rest of the pack. He closes out well, he denies when his guy doesnt have it and he stays attached. I also like that he sprinted back in transition, and that is something that sounds minor until you watch how many young players don’t consistently do it. With the ball, Gehringer showed enough handle to organize the offense and show he could be a playmaker and generally kept things steady. His path forward isn’t about suddenly becoming a huge scorer but rather continuing to defend, become stronger with the ball and developing into a player that goes all-out on the floor, all the time. I like Jordan’s approach to the game.

Gehringer is a player who we saw a month ago and we really liked how he was able to stand out but not only with his scoring. He moves with a purpose, doesn’t force too much and is engaged defensively as well. Jordan was versatile. He handled PG duties at times and pushed the pace and he also showed that he could play off ball and cut as well. He rebounded outside his area and had a few outlets, and in the half court set had some creative finishes as well. Gehringer already understands how to move to the open spot for easy baskets. He understands spacing and this will be a year about getting stronger, sharpening the guard skills and seeing how to find ways to get on the court and in the rotation. He made his rankings debut this go round.

Gehringer brought a defensive first mentality to the showcase, consistently making an impact with his effort and attention to detail on that end. He closed out under control, stayed connected to shooters and worked hard to get back in transition to prevent easy scoring opportunities. Offensively he showed quality handles and the ability to keep the offense organized from the point guard spot. Gehringer played with purpose, made steady decisions with the ball and showed the type of two way approach that can make him a valuable piece moving forward

Gehringer is a player who we watched and liked from Colorado Lightning , as he consistently showed up in games to start out Spring ball. He showed that he could be effective without having the ball, didn’t need the offense centered around him, and still made winning plays. Jordan has a great feel and does the little things for his team. He’s cutting, rebounding hard, and turning broken plays into scoring opportunities. He had his moments scoring the bal,l but it was the way he just continued to pop that has him as a player to get eyes on moving forward.

Gehringer is a player who stood out for me for Colorado Lightning as he consistently created offense through movement and instincts rather than just waiting for things to come to him. He cuts hard, rebounds outside his area, and quickly turns possessions into transition opportunities, which makes it hard to take him off the floor. He had one of the best moments of the weekend, which came on a tough reverse finish after freezing the entire defense with a fake in transition and using his pivot to get open. Jordan plays with feel, keeps the ball moving, and impacts the game in ways that lead directly to winning basketball. So It was great to get him on the radar.

Gehringer brought relentless energy to the court. He was all over loose balls, diving on the floor and making hustle plays. Defensively, he harassed ball handlers and jumped passing lanes. Offensively, he hit timely threes, including some clutch buckets when his team needed them most.
